The trend for online shopping has increased considerably in the past few years. Everything is easily available at your door step with a single click.

All thanks to the advancements in technology, computer science and internet access. From household items to basic daily needs, clothes to gadgets to books and now even medicines you name it and online shopping sites have it.

Day by day new shopping sites are adding up in the list. The competition is tough and survival of fittest is the demand of time.

There is no doubt that online shopping sites at times give good discounts and combo offers as well. But according to the law of universe everything comes with some or the other demerits..

The foremost is the lack of Quality Check. Most of the things that are displayed on the sites are only a deception and the reality stands far behind. This especially hold for clothes. Usually most of the sites sell quality compromised stuff which are copies of the original displayed in the pictures.

    • You are so right. Lack of Quality which is actually the foremost.

I bought a blouse online. It was beautiful in the picture. However, when it was delivered it doesn't have a nice clothing material at all. It was a thin cloth and of cheap quality. No wonder, the price is cheap.

Then, I ordered a tummy trimmer. It was good because it really helped dissolve fats in my tummy and flattened it. However, after 3 months , it wasn't operational anymore because I tried to hav eit repaired from our electronic technician but said to be of disposable type.

But because I like it so much, and thought that I could just have pulled a wire accidentally , i bought another. Same thing happened. Low quality.

There are other purchases and they weren't operational after sometime. From then on, I don't buy ever again.

    • I bought items over the internet for several times and luckily I was contented with all the items I bought. They were at good standard and quality.

With regards with the payment, I was lucky because here in the Philippines, a website name Lazada allows their buyer to choose Cash on Delivery mode of payment; but not all the items especially those items that comes from other country. Another great thing about them is that if you're not satisfied when you saw the item you have the option to not buy it so you don't have to pay them even they delivered the item to your house.

What I think is if you're going to buy item online, as much as possible don't buy items which are expensive so you won't regret at the end. Also do check if they offer a Cash on Delivery option, if yes, much better if you choose that option. One more thing is that a lot of items online are also in the malls, so it's much better if you just buy in the malls, that way you can be assured that the product you buy is what you really expect.

    • Nice to see you on here too!

With online shopping, I make sure I shop at a reputable website where just encase the clothes or items are not as described, I can make a return at a local place.

Or, if the items are such a great deal - if I don't like them, I can at least resale them to get my money back.

I would hate to be scammed of a fake product, or the item is a stolen picture and there is no customer service to speak with.

    • I have taken to online shopping since the last few years. All in all I am happy with my decision. Occasionally there could be quality issues but compared to the benefits I get I will continue shopping online.
We have a wider choice and without having to step out items are delivered at the door.
