I agree with what is stated in the above article people spend on wants more than spending the same on needs which are basic necessities of our life and allow us to live our life well and happily. The places where money usually goes out which is not advisable is junk food, going to high budget hotels, spending on aerated cool drinks which we can do without and also going to big ticket events and movies weekly.
All these things make a big hole in the pocket. Thus reducing the amount one spends on the good things which are a necessity for us. If we calculate the above expenses they will save a huge amount if we work out on an annual basis in our home budget. It depends on the priorities which individuals have and how they would want to spend life. It depends on how the parents have brought them up.
