Using Ad Networks to monetize your blog or website?

There are different ways to monetize a website or blog and using Ad Network ads is one way to do it. Ad Networks or Advertising Networks can be defined as companies that connect advertisers to websites or blogs who wanted to host advertisements for monetizing purposes.

What the website or blog owners will do is to place the Ads in form of banners, texts, or pop-ups to a portion of their website. These Ads are produced by the Ad network company you are affiliated with. You will earn profits for every view or clicks of such advertisements. The rate varies depending on the quality of visitors who visited your website.

There are lots of Ad Network companies to choose from. Some of the most popular are Google Adsense, Infolinks, Media.net, Chitika and Bidvertizer. But there’s a lot more options around.

What you have to do is to apply your website to these Ad Networks and once approved, you can start placing code to the source of your website for the Ads to appear. Ad Networks have different requirements before your website get approved. The most common is your website should be getting a lot of traffic, meaning a lot of visitors. There are also Ad Networks who only approve websites using paid hosting and domain using such as .com and .net. Google Adsense is the number one Ad network because they provide Ads that are clean and related to your website and they also provide a

Google Adsense is the number one Ad network because they provide Ads that are clean and related to your website and they also provide a higher rate compared to others. But they are also one of the most strict in approving websites so you better read first their guidelines before applying your website. But if ever your website got rejected, you don’t have to worry because there are a lot of alternatives that you can choose from which also provides good ads and rates.

Your earnings using Ad Networks are based on CPM(cost per thousand impressions/page views) or CPA(cost per action/click). CPM means you will earn an amount of money for every 1000 impressions. Impressions are somehow equivalent to page views. For example, if the rate is 0.10$ per CPM, then it means you will earn $.010 per 1000 page views. CPA means you will earn an amount of money for every 1000 actions. Actions can be clicks, form submits, opt-ins, sales or whatever specified).

Ad networks can help you monetize your blog or website, only if you have a large number of daily visitors such as websites like Literacybase.

There are a lot of Ad network companies that you can choose from but you should choose the ones that can really help in monetizing your website. You should beware of those Ad Networks that provide Ads with malwares or Ads that redirects to adult sites. Because that will drive away your visitors and your website will have a negative reputation.

You can do trial and error. Try placing the ads for several days or weeks and see if the ads are clean and it gives you earnings. Or to save you time, you should also always read reviews about the Ad Network that you are planning to use so that you will know if it’s a good or bad ad network. Because there are also scam ad networks, which will not pay you, so your efforts will turn to nothing.

You can actually use more than one Ad network to your website, but don’t make it too many or it will just mess the look of your website. I can recommend three as the maximum.

Well, I am not expert in Ad Network marketing. I just shared what I know and learned through experience to give you ideas.

    • There are so many ad networks exists online along with Google Adsense. Google itself is the reason for existence of other networks. Google always has stringent rules for any web publisher to approve their adsense request.. It takes long time and should have rich content with them... So, content developers are not that much patient enough to wait for such a long time without having any returns from their websites after investing money & time for Hosing, Website Development, Content Building, Traffic Building and many more..

    • Thank you very much this is so informative to blogger like me who just wanted to have some passive income through online. If this can help blogger, many will be doing this.
