Traffic in my Country, Very Bad…

As I told you even before, I started my new job at present. This is my second week working on that company. If I am not experiencing heavy traffic almost every day, I guess I will not be too tired and could able to stay online for 4 hours, however, this heavy traffic that I always meet going to work and home are what makes me feel exhausted. I thought I am not just happy, but then I know somehow I am happy and I am not sad all the time. Maybe because I am reserving that to something else. I am reserving my happiness when I know I am about to get home from work. However, once I start to meet heavy traffic, the feeling becomes heavy too. Imagine being stuck in traffic for 2 hours, who would want that? All employees going home deserve to reach their houses and take a good rest. It looks like I am depriving myself of having that because of heavy traffic.

Whenever my time is up, I and my co-employee are rushing to the locker room to get our bags. We were walking fast. The objective is to ride a vehicle going home to avoid the heavy traffic but in the middle of the journey,we will be stuck in a heavy traffic. I am imagining that there is a big hand from the sky, pick our vehicle, let it fly until it reaches our houses.Though it sounds like I am joking, I am not really joking. I really hate it when I will get stuck in a heavy traffic.

Most people says that it could let you rest because you are just sitting there. However, if your vehicle is open you could absorb all the air pollution from the vehicles. Even if the vehicle is close, the pain from your butt to your legs, to your feet is what makes you look like having a sprain was you unload yourself out. The blood is clogged in your waist. I even remember what happened to me before, I was stuck in the heavy traffic for 3 hours. While sitting in the vehicle, I can’t feel my legs anymore. When it was time to alight, I can’t move my legs. Most of the passengers were like questioning what was happening to me. The culprit was the blood clogged on my butt. It took me a long minutes before I able to walk again and I need to be lifted out. Anyone could experience that.

How about being stuck in the traffic during the heavy rain?Yes, it is cold, it is nice to sleep, however, a closed environment is not healthy as well. The comfort depends on the weather. Sometimes when it is raining, the air is cold, however, most of the time, during Summer, when the rain falls strong, it only washes the ground that brings up the vapor. It causes a very hot temperature that could cause anyone to have a migraine. You need to have enough supply of water with you to help yourself.

In my country, one of the worst thing and we are not proud ever since is the heavy traffic. Unfortunately, it is an endless heavy traffic and for sure it will never stop unless government should bring changes. I know people are willing to follow new rules from the new president as they want to change, so I am assuming there will be some changes that will happen soon. Heavy traffic is one of our major problems and everyone is wishing it will get resolved. If not, that is one of the reasons why I will look for a company near my place, again.

    • I have no car of my own. I am traveling as often as I can. However, the ordeal of what you have mentioned in your experience when the traffic got stuck when you are in a hurry to go home, I had experienced it too. We waited for several hours until we were moving. It's too boring. You want to get angry but to whom. By the way, your experience which you felt bad and something happened to your leg which got cramp or partially paralyzed, shouldn't occur if the traffic is manageable or decongested. I think the plan to control the buying of cars is reasonable. Car buyer is not allowed to get one unless he has a parking area or lot for his car.

    • Hmmm...You should see the traffic in my country! There are no regards for traffic rules. Even the traffic police is not very strict except in some cities. Even if you are caught violating traffic rules, you can easily get way by bribing the traffic policeman. People drive so recklessly without paying heed to traffic rules and that cause so many accidents.

    • I have been taking the metro for years, and seldom ride on the bus.
I think I will go mad if I need to spend so much time on the road, and the air is not fresh too.

    • I think that aside from lack of knowledge with the traffic rules or just plainly avoiding to follow is that the very low downpayment given by car dealers in our country. This has encouraged so many people to consider buying a new vehiclke. Taking considerstion the implementation of Number coding, some employees think that it is a big hassle to commute.
So some end up buying another carwhich they can use to replace their old car that can not be driven on a certain day.
Another thing is that thete ate so many people now in the city that taking the public ansportation sometyimes is no longer as easy as becore. I once rode4rode4 the MRt going to Makati at 730am in Trinomas. I was able to ride the train after 1 1/2 hours of queueing. By the time I reached Makati Med, it was almost 10 am.
Not unless the cost for down payment of cars be resolved, traffic will remain the same. Also, people who lives on house or apartment that does not have a garage should not be allowed to buy a vehicle because they end up parking by the streets which causes traffic as well. Is that beinv harsh? Lol I am really not sure. But that is one problem on our street.

    • I thought we were the only ones in our country who go through this traffic menace. Usually going to work is hellon earth. You have to leave th3 house very early so that you can make it on time to work. But at times that doesn't even work, you might leave early yet spend more than one hour in the road. It's so annoying but who would you blame or shout at at that particular time obviously no one. So you have to ensure th3 boredom and the tiredness to get to work. It's th3 same story in the evening it seems like everybody has left the office at the same time. Like you said on your mark get ready goooo bad everyone is out of their gatesheading home. The minute you leave the office and get to th gate you find traffic right there at your door step. So you decide to get into your car hoping that the traffic will be a moving one, shock on you it's actually stalled. Now that's not funny at all. When you thought you will get home a little bit early it's a nightmare on the roads. So most of the time people would rather stay in the office until late to avoid the jam. But the disadvantage of this is that men who are married get home so late probably when the kids are asleep, and that spells trouble in marriages. Others get into drinking which becomes a habit then the addiction comes and the result is infidelity in marriages.

    • I have had this problem and it took a toll on my health. I had no Knowledge that that is the reason for the fatigue which I was facing. It used to take two hour up and two hours down. This happened for seven years. Later I changed my job to a place at least eight kilometers near to my house from the previous place. I felt so comfortable to reach home in fifteen to twenty minutes that in a few days my fatigue which I used to face vanished.

Then I came to realize why I was feeling the way I was. The fatigue was due to the long hours commuting and standing at a crowded bus stop. The best thing to do is to try and find something near by or work online as it works wonders for your health. The pollution also chokes and is responsible for many health problems like asthma, bronchitis, nasal problem, memory problems due to lead pollution from vehicles, noise pollution etc. Take care.
