Taking it From Whom it Comes

I am on Facebook.   I am skimming down the list of all the posts made which show up on my page.   I don’t read what ‘Too Busy to Write’ posts; for he makes twenty meaningless observations a day.

I notice a clever image, but it has been posted by a Trump toe cleaner so I skip that.

I read what Clarity writes because she will post what is happening now where she is and back it up with an official report whether from a newspaper or television video.

I give what Dancer posts a tenth of an eye.  He was a bright guy with a lot of potential but since his page is full of ‘dirty dancing’ he can’t get a job. (duh).

There are people who are so politically twisted that there is no sense in reading what they write.

This is not someone who works for a political party, so that he’s a Group Leader for the JLP or an Area Leader for the PNP, this is just a Veranda sitter who knows no one and nothing, and espouses what he thinks is support for his party.

I recall once hearing someone saying something with this certainty.

Unfortunately, she had no idea what she was talking about, and I quietly, (because she was a friend) told her that was not the issue.   It is very strange to see a human ‘reboot’, but I have seen it.

This happens when one assumes that a politician or political party stands for or supports something, which is not true.  And the fact that they are so far out of the loop they should be silent, because they don’t know.

For example, when there was the Saran attack, the best I could say, (since I live in Jamaica and have no idea what is going on in Syria beyond the BBC reports) was that I was about 85% sure the Assad Government had been behind it.

That is because I don’t know.   I have no way to test or prove it.   Those who have the ability did test and prove it.  At the time there was no hard proof which could be shared.   So all I could do was ‘lean’ towards that postulate, but leaving the possibility open that it might not have been Assad.

I give this long explanation to clarify how people should deal with what they don’t know or aren’t sure of.

When one deals with someone who doesn’t check facts, who can not back themselves with proof, but proceeds as if they are ‘certain’, there’s no sense in reading further.

When one sees items slapped onto Facebook, one after another after another written by someone who is ‘too busy’ to write for this site, it is clear there is no reason to waste eye sight.   This is a person who has fallen off the ledge of logic.

If a person standing on a street in the Philippines says it is raining, I believe them.   If a person says ‘it is raining in Manila’ but they live in Bridgetown, Barbados, unless they give a link to a weather service, I don’t believe them.
