A few months ago, my husband and I were invited to spend the weekend at his employer’s home. I was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than our house. The first day and evening went well, and I was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live.

My husband’s employer was quite generous as a host and took us to the finest restaurants. I knew I would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so I was enjoying myself. As the three of us were about to enter an exclusive restaurant one evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of us. He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment. I wondered if I was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped and a few cigarette butts.

Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny. He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure.

How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up? Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at me. Finally, I could stand it no longer. I causally mentioned that my daughter once had a coin collection and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.

A smile crept across the man’s face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for us to see. I had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?

“Look at it.” he said. “Read what it says.”

I read the words, “United States of America.”

“No, not that; read further.”

“One cent?”

“No, keep reading.”

“In God we Trust?”

“Yes!”

“And?”

“And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin, I see that inscription. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray. I stop to see if my trust is in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God, that I do trust in Him. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God’s way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies are plentiful!

When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I can not change. I read the words, “In God We Trust,” and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the message. It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful! And God is patient.

The Most Powerful Motivation To be Suceed is The Pressure

Everyone has a motivation, but not all can reach it. Why? If you ever attended a motivation seminar, it would probably amazingly astounding because the audience were really carried away by the motivation that was conveyed by the motivator.

The motivator might be dazzling in encouraging the audience to reach their dreams. However, to reach a dream is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. If you realize it, the delivered motivations seem not enough to boost your spirit.

Words of Motivation V.S. Reality

In fact, from hundreds of seminar participants, only a few people can maintain the motivations in the real work. Besides that, the participants with safe financial will not be burnt simply with a motivation to succeed. Here we are going to discover how people who actually come from the lower classes can be more motivated as they don’t only have a motivation to succeed, but the pressures of life. Therefore, the pressure is a natural motivation. How does a pressure can motivate a person? Let’s see…!

Like a boarding student who is running out of clothes (means all of his clothes are dirty), the only option is to wash his own clothes. One of the pressures that overshadow our lives in such situation is; what we would be if we don’t wear pant, or wearing a smelling paint. That’s the real example of life pressure that causes real action.
In a popular circus story, you might have known the story of a lion and a whip, we often underestimate the diluted lion because of trained instead of educated. This happens because the lion is afraid of the whip. In fact, actually, such association also afflicted us personally. For example, a student which is identical to a lot of homework which is bored and took up playing time. As a student, he might complain of the homework. Whereas, the homework is the natural pressure for the student.

Ther Pressure Makes Us Learn Something New

Certainly, the pressure makes us learn something. Let you imagine if the student is not being any homework within a semester. Everything may feel comfortable during the semester. Just be honest, without homework, the student would not go anywhere to learn the subjects and less performing in the final exam.

Next, try to observe your profession where your normal working time is 8 hours per work day. If being asked about what is the motivation of getting up every day? Which one of the following is your answer?

A. You are encouraged by your responsibility of your profession.
B. Fear of getting angry boss for being late.

I think you know the answer. Call back the story of the lion and the whip.

Pressures are The Process to Get Succeed

If we observe an entrepreneur, we might ever think that he or she is free to do whatever he or she wants. However, the entrepreneur we see is the one that has achieved a successful in his or her business. The one who have ever once become an egg on the cutting edge of being at the forefront out of the pressures that ever pressed him or her. But now, what we see is the result or the entrepreneurship journey which we never saw the process before.

A process is the most important moment where all the pressures of success motivate an entrepreneur. The bonus of such process is not hit the media spotlight so that not everyone knows.

Entrepreneurship is a demeanor. Therefore, becoming an entrepreneur is not just relying on ego and pride because it can create your own business field. The challenge of becoming an entrepreneur is how you can put a pressure on yourselves and make it as your motivational. The entrepreneurship is a winner mentality because facing the pressure with own capabilities, which is not as easy as working on the pressure of other people. It’s between educated and trained.

Get Out Comfort Zone

Everyone likes comfort and almost everyone says we have to get out of comfort zone. But not all describe how to get out of comfort zone. So, this article is about how to make an enemy becomes a support, how to make the pressure as a motivation. That is by turning the pressure into a positive point of view. The positive-minded pressure is a perfect motivation.

Basically, everyone may have unique ways to get out of the comfort zone in achieving success. You can decide unique ways according to your abilities and requirements to make your dreams come true. However, having the guide to get out of the comfort zone is the right idea.

Certainly, all efforts will definitely bring results. One of them is the creation of a comfortable situation or so-called comfort zone. Everyone has a comfort zone with a different portion to each other. Many people survive in their comfort zone even though they are in a “no progress zone”. But there are also those who choose to challenge their comfort zone, and so much more successful because of it. But it doesn’t mean you come out of our common work because there are so many activities we can do to overcome boredom in our daily work.

How to Get Out of Confort Zone

Each activity must be based on a strong intention, including changes. When you choose to get out of the comfort zone by making changes, you should do it with your total consistency. Or if you choose to stay on a job today, you must also base it with a strong intention. It does seem cliche, but life is an option. Being consistent will help you deal with any pressure that arises from a challenge. The following are the points you need to do to get out of your comfort zone;

How to be self motivated in your life when feeling down

Every mankind in this world faces a situation to motivate himself on his own. There are situations in life where people don’t ask any kind of advice from others, so one should know to advise and motivate himself by his own. Here are some tips for self-motivation.

1.Know yourself:
Try to know your exact situation in the society, that may be your working scenario or may be in your life, anything you can consider but you should know yourself. Knowing yourself means one should know his strength and weakness, his capability and everything. This is the first step one should need to do by himself to motivate on his own.
2. Goals:
Keep track on your goals and always think about it as that will make you feel responsible. Each and every time when you go down you can make yourself motivated by remembering your goals and targets.
3. Daily Target:
According to your working situation and capacity fix a daily target by your own. By targeting, one should always keep track on his work. And think of how to complete the tasks quickly.  This will motivate him to work more.
4. Smart work:
Yeah, Hard work never fails but smart work gives you ideas to get the results quickly. If you know that you are smart then you always find the way to get the work done in a smarter manner and this motivates you every time.
5. Success:
I know success is not an easy thing to achieve but you can get it by your dedicated quality work. If you know the taste of success in your life, that makes you motivated towards the success again. That motivation finds the ways to reach the success point and that’s important too.
6. Motivational stories:
There are lots of motivational speeches and stories available on the web as well as the market. So, find and read those books. The path faced by them to reach their destination makes you motivated. Read different types of stories that will give you different ways of thinking ability according to the situation. Apply some of the ways and incidents you have read in the various books of your real life problems and I am sure you will be motivated by doing this.
7. Get inspired by others:
 Whenever you see people succeeding in their life or in their field most of the people get inspired in them. Everyone wants to win and achieve great things like those legends who proved themselves in various fields. This inspiration gives motivation to every individual to do his job better than ever.
There is no formula for success and a great victory but one thing everyone should keep in mind that motivation. Everyone should know to motivate himself and motivates others too. This doesn’t mean that giving fake confidence to others, it’s like bringing out the best from the mankind. Motivation is a small essence and if it gets everyone at the right time then anyone can do wonders and achieve great goals.

Don’t practice until you get it right, practice until you can’t get it wrong

Whenever I think of the word “Practice”, my mind always reminds me of the famous proverb “Practice makes a man perfect”. It is easy to advise but difficult to follow. It is not possible to perfect something in overnight. Whatever it may be, art, dance, painting, musical instrument, singing, even preparing for your exam doing only a day before will not take you that master level.

Till school days I was told by my teachers that only by practicing we shall perfect something. The best example where I realized the power of practicing was when I got good marks in mathematics which I used to fail in the past. Because of constant failing, I started to hate maths and it has become my worst nightmare. Also, I started to pacify myself that I will not get good marks in maths and so I started taking that failure very easily and casually. And my mom used to scold but I never took it seriously. But one day my friends started making fun of me and my mom too scolded badly that day and I was ashamed of myself. I felt really bad and started to weep. Then the next day my favorite teacher called me and told me this, “Only when you love something you can excel in that. It will be hard in the beginning but by constant practice, you will definitely achieve it. Nothing worth having comes easier. So start practicing. Only by practice, you will get it right. So, don’t give up until you feel that you have mastered it. Now go and practice.” These words were like drinking an energy shake for me. So, I stopped worrying and started to practice. It was difficult at the beginning but I started to take maths seriously and started to work on it with full potential.

With that practice the result was unexpected. I was the class topper and shocked everyone. I was amazed by my talent and hard work. The practice and effort that I put ended up giving me the target that I was aiming thus helped me to prove my worth to myself and everybody.

So, never give up and keep practicing.

Never give up. Hearing this phrase what is the first thing that comes to your mind? This is the only phrase that keeps me going whenever I fall down.

Just remember this quote when you feel defeated next time, “If you don’t fight for what you want, then don’t cry for what you lost.” Do you agree with this quote? It is simple as it looks yet powerful.

In this simply amazing one, time life why not live with a purpose rather than being an ordinary human being. Dream something that it has not dreamed by anybody in this world. Do something that has not done by anyone in this world. Take risks. Obstacles do come to strike you down but remember life is not a bed of roses. You should be able to cope up with the thorns. It is in your hand to take the roses or the thorns.

In this one life why settle for less? The people who laugh at you will only be laughing at you. The people who said you can’t do anything will always make fun of you or try to advise you in the name of reality. Your family didn’t support you, so what? Never listen to them. Keep going forward without stopping. Be unstoppable. The people who are successful now have started with nothing but they had the confidence, the fire to succeed, and they put their 100% effort full heartedly. That is the reason they are successful today. Learn from your failures and apply it to achieve your goals but never give up. You can’t achieve everything in a day. Live each day as if you were born just now, with full energy and full potential. Just don’t give up. It is in your hands to swim or sink. Even if you are drowning just don’t give up. Just remember, “Before you quit think about why you held so long.”

Learn Strategies from Productivity Experts at The Peak Work Performance Summit

I received a newsletter from Power of Moms about this summit, as one of the co-founders, April Perry is one of the interviewees in this summit. She and her husband, Eric Perry will be presenting the topic “Organizing Your Life” in the new created “Work Life Balance” section.

 

This online summit is hosted by Ron Friedman, who is the author of the book “The Best Place to Work” and the founder of ignite80. The purpose of this summit is share the strategies to help us get things done. It starts from 18 April to 27 April, 2017 and it is FREE.

 

 

There are interviews from different aspect of peak performance each day, include motivation, productivity, habits, energy, health, success, leadership, build your brand, wealth and work life balance. Everyday there are 5 interviews on one of these topics, and the interview will be available for 24 hours. I do not think I can finish watching all the interviews in the coming 10 days, otherwise I will be certainly stressed out instead of getting more things done, hence I am going to pick the interviewees or topics that really interest me.

 

The topics that we will be learning really interest me, such as how the most successful people start their day, how to design the perfect to-do list, how visual thinking can help flesh out our ideas, how to get more sleep, how to spark our creativity, how to stay energized all day long, and much more. I am currently learning these and also applying some of them to my life, so I can be more productive, get more things done and yet get good sleep and happy life as well. So, this summit really sounds good to me.

 

Currently, these are the interviewees and their topics I am spotting:

While looking at the topics of the interviews, I am actually interested in many of them, so I might just take some time to watch them and see if I will be inspired. Michael Hyatt and April Perry are two bloggers I have been following through, hence I am surely not going to miss these two. As for David Allen, I have been been reading April Perry and other bloggers mentioning about his book, Getting Things Done. I would like to know what strategies he is going to share with us too.

Do Athlete’s Salaries Affect How Much They Care About Winning?

     We have seen the causal athletes nonchalantly dribble a basketball down the court, his or her team down by 20 points, and their team record is 20-50 for the season. Or a football player throwing his 4th interception of the first half and shrugging his shoulders as he walks towards the bench. With athlete’s salaries as public as can be, we tend to wonder if these athletes even care about winning or losing. 

    One of the most scrutinized athletes in sports is Lebron James. He has a 3-4 record in the NBA finals. That’s right. He’s lost more championships than he has won. I always wonder, if I made $25,000,000 a year, would ANYTHING bother me? Let’s take a moment to break down such a salary. 25 million dollars a year is a little over 2 million dollars a month, a half of a million dollars a week, and around eighty thousand dollars A DAY. A successful graduate with his or hers masters degree can maybe make that in a YEAR salary. 24 hours or 365 days after a long road of schooling or job promotions to make a living? I’d take 24 hours everyday. Keep in mind that this is just income paid by the sport he plays for. There are many athletes with endorsement deals for shoes, drinks, and like Klay Thompson, chocolate milk! 

     So with all that wealth, do emotions really come into play? When you walk off that court or that football field after a loss, does it really sting that much? March madness ended a few days ago and we seen those college kids crying, heck, sobbing in the locker room. Keep in mind, college players don’t get a salary, they just get the exposure for a possible deal to the pros with the honor to represent their school’s athletic program in the process. They get televised and have family and friends cheering them on. But have you noticed the sheer emotion they play with and ultimately win or lose with? I think it’s much MORE revealing than peofessional athletes. Now one may say it’s because they are “kids,” they’re 18-19 year olds and it takes time to mature and be able to hold your composure. But how so?

     Don’t these athletes both play the same sport? In front of their beloved crowds? All for the same goal, to win? Does income really ease the pain with losses in sports? I completely understand that to get paid the big bucks there is SO much that goes with getting to that level. The way you must take care of your body, dieting, consistency etc etc. Let’s not also forget that you have to be good, I’m talking really good, at the sport you play. I think the conversion rate of basketball players for example to NBA athletes is around .3%. Lottery odds aren’t going to be the main focus of everyone but it’s definitely something that “would b e nice,” to say the least. How about when you get there? Do you say “ok, I’ve made it, whatever happens happens” or after signing that multi million dollar deal, does the motivation rise, especially as the excitement declines? Does the ultimate goal mean so much when you can snap your fingers and buy any materialistic thing on this earth. I’d rather cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle, but please share what you guys think about athlete motivation and salaries and how money can effect the balance between the two.

When it’s time to change your job?

It’s Monday, and you again feel tired, do not want to go to work, have no motivation? Many feel like this, but for some this feeling passes, and others it  accompany for years. As the desire to give up everything. So how do you know whether it is time to change your job, or is it just a temporary phase?

Signs that it’s time for a change:

You are afraid to go to work. And not because of the fact that today is Monday or you are not prepared for the important meeting. There are people who feel stressed just because think about the job. Some have very strict boss, others have unfriendly colleagues. Unfortunately, experience shows that it is easier to find another job than constantly fight. Do not need to keep quiet, and do not give up, just keep in mind that constant fear and stress is very bad for your health. Consider how long it goes on and what can be changed.

Your competence is higher than your boss. It may happens that your boss is less skilled, less educated and have less experience than you. And it is not necessarily directly related to age. The problem in this case is not even a difference in competencies, the fact is that such company’s future seems to be uncertain; that you will constantly doubt boss decisions and you can not to learn anything new.

You have not any motivation to work. It seems that you are satisfied with the salary, the manager is good, with colleagues you get along, but still you do not like your wok. You completely  do not have the motivation to work, and it continues not for one month and not a three even.

The bottom line is that without the motivation you will fail to go forward. So, think about it, perhaps a lack of motivation is related to the specifics of your work, or may you just have a depressive time and it’s  time to take care of your health, and to discover a new positive colors at current work or find a new one.

Salary does not meet your competence and the type of work.  Topic – very specific, but if you know that for such work as your should be paid much more, if the manager is satisfied with your work, but to raise the salary does not intend to, and works only getting more and more, perhaps your skills would be useful elsewhere? First of all, talk about it with the manager, do not make ultimatums and do not require – simply lay out the facts and find out what options is to get a higher salary.

There is no room for your growth. While the younger generation often change work, there are also those who feel very comfortable with their position and are afraid to get out of the comfort zone, even if feel it is necessary. Do you work the same thing all the time? There is no space for your, as an employee, growth? You have reached your potential career ceiling? If anything new cannot be learned, sooner or later you begin to dislike your work, the routine starts suffocate. Moreover, it can hurt your career – if time is running out, and you do not progress, to find a better job will become increasingly difficult.

Suffer your health and personal life. No matter what size and what kind of salary you receive and what additional benefits you get from your work – if you regularly work overtime and are experiencing high levels of stress, if the work is suffering health and personal life, the work is not worth it. The consequences can be depression, insomnia, persistent headaches, exhaustion and various chronic diseases. And in terms of personal life, such work threatens with a divorce, quarrels and the loss of friends.

No matter what you will decide – to remain at work or to change it, it has to be well thought out. And if ever you will leave it, do that nicely. After all, you never know, maybe your paths with former colleagues or employer will meet in the  future.

I am crazy about finding sayings that I like, one’s that motivate and inspire me. If I find one I like I immediately write it down so I decided I would like to share some that I love with you all.

Those are just a few of the one’s I love, when I am down or sad I pull out my book that I keep of all my sayings in and read it. They tend to soothe me, make me realize that there is another day ahead where things will get better, that life is what you make of it. It might sound crazy to some people, but my sayings are like my own personal counselor, there is always one that is appropriate for any situation I am facing, and one that makes me feel better and ready for any challenge ahead.

The Key Points to Staying Motivated

Trying to live a dream have ideas or projects. Staying up late trying to complete tasks. All of the activities can be draining. Trying to reach certain goals and trying to reach a certain level of success. Some days may seem like a drag. A constant need to “improve in some way” and trying to do so can decrease the drive and motivation. The best way to stay motivated is to obtain plenty of rest, Lack of sleep can leave a person feeling drained and while being tired the functionality is lost.

  1. Obtain Proper Rest.
  2. Take Some Time out to Meditate.
  3. Don’t try to Complete Everything all at Once.
  4. Watch or Listen to Motivational Videos.
  5. Take Some Time out to Exercise.

“Staying motivated” is very important when trying to elevate. In order to try and live better there has to be some modifications. Never overwork but make sure enough is being done to make a difference. Of course trying to reach success can take some time. It all depends on what level of success one is trying to reach. Never feel as if what’s being done isn’t worth it. There will be some pain and struggles. No reached success overnight.

While working turning off devices may be helpful if the devices are causing interruptions. If fatigue starts to set in then it may be time to take some breaks. Sitting may cause muscles to crap up so therefore some mini exercises may help relieve the crapping. Make sure to avoid staying up too late every night. Tiredness can also cause moodiness.

Communicating with others who have reached a certain level of success can also be helpful. Listening to stories and tips on what it takes to become successful is a great way to help with motivation. “Being patient is necessary.” Try to avoid rushing the process. If working too slowly takes place find ways to move a little faster. Working from a computer can cause eye strain and finger muscles to crap up. Taking a break from the keyboard generates relief.
