After a vigorous working session, we all want to be left alone and for this one needs a space where one is not disturbed.
Some use the toilet or the rest room and sit there for as long as they need a break from the hussle and bussle of life. Some leave the house and may be spend time on a beach. There are others who pretend to read a book but actually they don’t. They just reminisce on things that relax them. All this to stay away from human beings. I have also known those who take their pet out on a leash. It is not an outing for the pet but a way to get away from it all.
I have a cute little corner that faces my garden. I have glass louvres that open up to the garden. Just in front of my cozy corner is the bird bath. It is a joy to just sit and watch so many birds frolicking and chirping away – a sound that is so soothing – anything to get away. I sit there and reminisce specially on the various holidays that I have been to many countries. I could just sit there for hours and live those moments all over again, until I am woken up almost with my pet nudging me that it is time to feed her, time to get into the kitchen and get going there, time to freshen up as visitors are expected, time to put order on the dining table which looks a mess as visitors would be entertained there and so the table looks neat and dressed up for the occasion
That little respite that one gets to be by oneself does help to add a spring in one’s step to go about finishing the day with a sigh that all has been well attended to the best of one’s ability.

I don't have any special corner or activity just for myself. And I am like the most undisturbed person in a world when it comes to the personal space; that's why the people are use to walk on me. LOL.
But, it is true. I either work and do my tasks or I am with my family.
The time passes rather quickly, so it is quite necessary to spend as much time as we can with our loved ones and that is not possible if you need more time for yourself, or for walking a dog.
Dogs are fine, I love animals, I take care of two weird creatures myself but animals have only a limited set of the needs.
So, instead taking a time to sit somewhere alone and looking at the sunset, I prefer talking my folks with me and enjoy in the same thing together.
It gives me a completely different dimension of the existence, it really can be a relaxing activity to just be together and you don't even need to talk.
My room is my special corner. Being in my room and listening to some music or reading some book is my favorite activity.
That is a very pretty place to sit.
My place to relax is my car. I go driving and crank the music up loud. There I either think about things or just get into the music and relax. Its very calming for me and people can't understand why I like driving so much.
I have a spacious office room. I take my conference space where there is a long table as my venue to stay to relax my mind while listening to a soft music from my mobile phone. However, as the head of our office, visitors come unexpectedly, employees rush for a job consultation. So I have to go out and find solace under a shady tree, bringing along with me a plastic chair. I stay there for 30 minutes or even an hour. After I feel refresh and relax, I go back to my office.
At home, I don't have enough space to be used for taking a respite after a day's work. What I did is to take a stroll to breathe some air.
