The word chore can often arouse feelings of disgust. No one likes doing chores and they are probably the bane of all our existence. But they have to be done, so we muster the resolve to get them done as fast as we can. Children are no different than adults except they do not have the resolve to get them done without complaint. They will try anything to get out of doing chores including throwing a temper tantrum. However, there are ways that we as parents can make it a little more enjoyable for them to do their chores.
Using a reward system gives a child more incentive to doing the chores allotted to them. A chart listing the chores the child is responsible for can make it easier for them to keep track of what they need to do. Many chore charts can be found online to download for free. They can be customized to your individual needs and printed off right at home. There are also charts available for purchase. Either method is fine and will allow you to track your child’s progress easily.
After establishing the chore chart with your child, you can decide upon the appropriate reward for each chore completed or a reward for a specific number of chores. Rewards should be agreed upon by both you and your child, making sure they are ones that appeal to your child and will effectively create the incentive to do the chores.
If you are having fun while working, then it does not seem much like work. You will find the time ticks by quicker and before you know it, you have accomplished your work goals. The same is true of chores. Make up games that will allow the chore to get done at the same time having fun with it. If one of the chores required of your child is picking up toys, create a counting game.
Give your child a specific number to count to such as four, then tell them to pick up that number of toys. This will make it a learning experience for them as well by teaching them to count. Change the numbers with colors and have them pick up red, blue, or yellow toys until all the toys are picked up. Finding toys that are alike serves as another version of the game and will give them another learning opportunity. Here is a list of other suggestions for creating a game for chores:
opposites (small/large)
shapes
type of toy (cars, stuffed animals, etc)
treasure hunt (give different picked up items different values of gems or precious metals)
scavenger hunt (tell them to look for specific items that need to be picked up)
I spy (I spy a teddy bear and they have to find it and put it away)
A little competition can be a fun activity for a child or children. If you have more than one child, you can create a competition doing chores to see who does theirs the fastest. Make it a fun competition, where there are not going to be any hurt feelings or arguments between competitors. This can also be done between you and your child if you do not have more than one. You can either set a timer for a specified amount of time or use the stopwatch function on your smart phone.
Children get tired of doing the same chores all the time just as adults do, so every now and then choose a chore that is different or requires them to use something new, such as a sponge, a mop, or a broom. It will be something new and exciting to your child when you let them use a sponge to wipe down kitchen chairs, refrigerator, and other appliances in the kitchen. They will also feel more grown up doing these different chores.
These are just a few of the ways that you can create fun for your children to do chores. Your children will learn in the process to be more responsible and that the word chore does not have to be bad. Be as creative as possible with the games and ask your children what they would like to incorporate into doing their chores. Do you already do fun things with chores? If so, please feel free to share them.

My son prefers to mop the floor and fold his own clothes while he play around with the bras!
He would help me to mop the floor if I promised to play with him after he had finished them.
So, I can't carry on with other chores because he can't wait.
I don't give him stars, he don't fancy those.
He prefers food, he wanted his prize are food, sushi, pancakes, cakes, muffins, those are his favorites

Thank you @peachpurple I appreciate the shares. My son would love money as his rewards but I do not have it to give. He loves to use the steam mop to mop the bathroom and kitchen floors. My daughter has volunteered to wash windows and she does a good job. They also like to use a wet sponge on the walls, cupboards, and kitchen chairs. I used to have to create games for picking up their dirty clothes and putting their toys away. Now that they are older that does not work so well. :)
i have 5 kids i make sure that they have an equal task at home so they have their own assignments..like who will wash the dishes..Who will clean the table etc.In that way they will be able to be responsible
