How we should compete ourselves, not with others

With the pursuit of achieving success in mind of all the people in all parts of the country. The people’s hunger to achieve success turns into vengeance and thus leads to fierce competition among people. We are setting benchmark as where we should reach in a particular time and whom we should emulate. For that to happen, we reach a situation we are ready to do anything to achieve it. And if we fail to achieve, we take drastic decisions as suicide. We are always keen how to outsmart the one who has achieved more and in the process lose ourselves. One of the main influence are our parents and they should also make sure that they don’t set us benchmarks and push to reach there somehow, this is not only adding pressure to the child, but also impacts him psychologically. I have personally seen many parents pushing their child to reach a particular benchmark. By doing all this, children and youths are pushed into a situation where life is no more interesting to them. Life becomes a mere Game where one has to win at any cost. According to me, if one needs to achieve sucess and remain happy, they need to compete with themselves. See own results as benchmark and try to to make it better next time. There definitely cannot be more positive thing than this. Even if you fail to go above the benchmark you had set earlier, you will not feel bad and disgusted about it. And when you compete with yourself, you will not feel any pressure nor any vengeance to achieve it. One thing is sure those working under pressure never succeed and those who work without pressure are the real winners. When you try to compare and compete with others, you will be always under pressure to beat them, and even if you beat them, you will be always stressed if someone will surpass you. So in the conclusion, people should compete with themselves, not compete with others. This will not only help them stay fulfilled with the success they got, but also egg them to do better.
