Are you forgetting where you had last put your keys or
money?
So many things to remember, too many task to do each day
and yet out of 10 tasks, you might forget to complete the
remainder 2 tasks.
Is that an early symptom of Alzheimer Disease or
Unlikely.
It is a sign of forgetfulness.
Your brain is catching up on age and it is slow in numbers
and remembering numerous tasks at once.
Usually, people at the age of golden years
( 60-80 years old ), the mid 40s or
even teenagers are worried about contracting the Alzheimer
or Dementia disease later age when their memory begin to
fail them gradually.
If you cannot remember what is the purpose behind the
knot you had tied on your finger?
Try these tips to stop your forgetfulness
PIN numbers are the worst enemy for people with poor
memory.
Try to remember the first 3 digits.
After you had successfully remembered the first 3 digits,
memorize the next 3 or 4 digits.
For older folks, it is advisable to jot down these messy
numbers in small telephone books but never key into your
handset for PIN and password to your bank account.
Fold down the written portion and then write again.
Keep testing yourself by repeating the numbers until you
can remember part of it.
Then, take a break, try again at later time, maybe a few
hours later.
Writing down numbers could help you to remember easily
as your eyes are watching the numbers, help you to
remember them vividly, embedded in your visual memory.
the subject notes that you hated most, say them loud to
yourself with the aid of your fingers.
Open up your palm, spread out the 5 fingers.
Say one task or the point of notes and put down the first
thumb.
Next, say the second task or the point of notes and then
put down the second finger.
Repeat the same procedure until all five fingers have folded
down.
Repeat again while saying out loud.
Your voice will help your brain to retrieve back the tasks
or the point of notes you had just mentioned.
However, avoid disturbing sound or kids voices.
Distracting sounds will make it harder for you to stay focus
Write down your tasks or the subject notes on a piece of A4
paper in numeric format.
Put it up somewhere you can notice easily and frequently
such as :
a ) The fridge door
b ) On the way out to the main door
c ) White board just above your desk
d ) In your pocket
Remember to cross out the task after you had completed it.
In the same way, give a tick just beside the notes that you
had successfully remembered.

These are useful tips. There are several foods that help retain memory and almonds is one such. We have leaves in our garden known as Brahmi. I make a chutney with it adding other herbs.
I am very bad at memorizing phone numbers. Now I have stopped making even efforts to remember them.
Another best way to have brain remain active is to apply the theory of Maslow which is Forgetting and Remembering. What to do , while on bed about to sleep, spend 5 minutes remembering your past.That helps sharpen your memory.

Other things that aid memory are using a mnemonic device when learning new data, and using visuals - especially very absurd ones - to make it easier to learn the new information. It is easier to retrieve a memory of something that is bizarre, than just an ordinary memory. This is why advertisers often create very outlandish scenarios or visuals for their print ads and TV commercials.
