How Some WebSites Cut Their Own Hits

I used to get news delivered to my in box from a particular service.   I liked it, quoted it, thought it was a good service.  It decided to charge.  I no longer use it.  I applied for another service, which is free.

This is the kind of stupidness that sites seem to develop like a virus.   For some reason they think that where there are xyz free sites if they charge one will pay them.  I don’t know the mentality, I can’t guess the logic, but…

I watch television online.   I live in the 4th world.  If I showed you a programme list for either of the two stations you might throw up.   There is absolutely no first run dramas on either.  Not even five year old first run dramas.

Not dramas, not anything save local rubbish.

Now some countries may have television and develop it so that they have a number of locally created programmes people want to watch, India, South Africa, (and I’m sure if I search I’d find others, but these two have programmes I have watched).   Jamaica, getting television in the 1960s have never moved forward.

Yes, there were times 1st run American or British dramas aired in Prime Time, but that has ended.  Now, there is nothing to watch outside of the local news.

So, I go online.

There are a number of sites.  Some charge.  I don’t use them.  Why use them when there are so many free sites? And sites where what aired yesterday is available today.

One of the things I have come to relish with the Internet is that there is ALWAYS another site.  You may think that 123movies.ru is all there is, but there is watchseries.cr, watchepisodes.com, watchseriesepisodes, on and on and on.

The sites that demand registration or payment, can be skipped.  The sites that make it difficult to watch a show, can be skipped.  And one finds themselves on a free site watching what they want without interruption, payment, or a plethora of ads.

Web Sites must grow up and learn that when there are too many Ads a user will activate an ad blocker.  Where there is a demand for payment, a user will cease to the use the site.

If this was 1995 where this was the Only site, okay.  But it isn’t.  There is always another, one need merely search.

All one needs to know is how to search, the right words to enter into a search engine, how to sift through the presented sites, and how to go, check, and if anything is uncomfortable, leave, and try the next.

Some day those who own/run web sites will learn this.
