The whole family decided that I have to drop my job to take care of our sick elderly family member, completely neglecting my feeling and a fact I already have three small children to take care. Some of them even offered to take care MY babies, just not to take care of one old person.
Of course, I was very insulted by this, especially because I think my job is to be a mother and not a nanny to a sick person who can get many more persons for house care who are closer to his place and who are closer relatives too.
I think of his own children. Plus, I have to stress again I have no previous medical knowledge, plus I am by nature a little slowish. I will not say stupid, but yes dumb a bit for spectacularly complicated tasks like this one. Because, it has to be spectacular when nobody of my seriously educated cousins is not willing to take.
Plus their wives are all too weak to do that; one have hurt back, another have hurt legs, third have hurt … pardon-me-part…
Am I only woman in family who has all body parts in number? Or does not need a mechanic to get all that body parts in function?
I think my family literary toss me a ball and expected me to dance with it and it was just disgusting.
Home care was disgusting too because most of time I was juggling with adult diapers and bucket for vomits… Don’t forget that my ‘patient’, or what he like to call himself – a victim – when saw it was me to take care of him , he said he will develop wings just not to endure all that from me. We don’t fit in character.
I am eternally grateful he was too weak to toss objects on me. Not for hitting me but because I will had to probably pay for that too….

Why did they passed that "burden" to you? It is alright if he is your father or mother, but for relatives, it's a big no, because his/her children should be the ones to do it, or they should hire a caregiver to take care of their parent.
