How I juggled with my health for months

When I was forced to provide home care for my sick relative I was so afraid I will not be able to do anything right. Nobody took too much time to explain me anything. They didn’t even explain me the most simple things, but that was not the biggest and scariest problem I had.

Aside being unwilling medic nurse for a grumpy old man, I am also a full time mommy of three extremely lively children. Nobody asked me how I will do this trick. By magic? Magic fairy godmother will come to me and do all things right and give me extra 24 hours to make my own home set and tidy, feed my kids, take care of school obligations…

But, no relative wanted to hear anything about this. Their life first. Old man I took care of was severely ill. You have to understand that his immunity was not there,. His immunity took a very long vacation far away and nobody hoped to see little immunity fellow every again.

In other words everybody expected to see man dead by end of previous winter. I was desperate and in no knowledge to do anything right.

    During this winter I lost my job, but not because I was fired or something…

If winter was not enough, start of spring was even better. I mean worse. But, not for old man. He got better. I got sick and now have the health problems because I exhausted myself running between his place and him, and my home and my obligations.

Nobody asks me how I feel right now.

I also asked cousins, what I get for all that service. People don’t live from thank you. And they just told me how can I be so brute rude and disgusting asking for favors- when that is my obligation. It is not my obligation. That is not my father. They should take care of him, not me.
