Few considerations for blogging at Literacy Base

We love to blog at Literacy Base, this is the section allowed us to share our ideas and knowledge.

There are more and more members started to write blogs and being more active and keen to write after Literacy Base uplifted the internal approval policy since last month or two months ago.

I would be more than happy to see this move as this will encourage more users to take up their pen or put their figures on the keyboard nowadays.
However, what are the considerations when we plan to blog?

1. Length. The length or total word count of the blog will affect our earning here. The minimum word count requirement is 300 words, any blog with the total word less than this, won’t be published.
And, every blog with 300 words, the users will be able to earn $0.15. The payment will be credited into our bank directly.
The user may can check it out at the “my history” sub-section under the profile section.

And, for any blog with more than 500 words, the earning could go up to $0.22 per blog. Again, it might depend on the quality of the blog, up to the decision of the team.

I have earned $0.22 for one of my blogs which is longer.

However, not all the readers like to read long blog, most of them prefers to read a shorter blog, thus the length of the blog should be about 500-800 words, and it is better not more than 1,000 words.

2. Topic. I think there is quite wide of range of topic which is allowed to be chosen or written by the users here. We can write about the joy of life, share our ideas, bitter experience of life and some guides or tips on particular areas.

According to some of the veteran here, they were only being paid few cents for their personal blogs. But, I think this is not happened anymore, some of the personal blogs are paid $0.15. This is a good news for the users for sure and encourage us to write and share more here.

However, the attraction of the topic should be considered when write a blog, so other users here can pick it to share out at the social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

And, if the topic is more toward general public interest and the guidelines can be applied commonly by the outside visitors, it would be good and better than personal blog. A good blog should contain something that the readers can be learned from or it is worthwhile the time for the readers spend on reading.

This is because we can share such good post out at the social media sites and bring more traffic to Literacy Base.

More quality blogs sure will help to increase the publicity of Literacy Base, and bring in more traffic and advertisement, and from the users end, this will help to attract more bloggers or writers to come and on board make this site a professional site in the future.

    • I agree with your points. Some of the time the topics don't warrant 300 words. And that's when we have to write the content in terms of the personal viewpoint. For many of us that seeems to be the only way. You can also use the references like someone else's opinion and then comment on that. This way reaching 300 words won't be a problem.

      • I have noticed that to some, to make their post be for about 300 words, they talk about those topics that gets them to enumerate things. That's good, at least we can learn from them.

    • Thank you for posting about the earning capacity of blogs, my friend. That answered one of the query I have in mind for the past days, though @cely has already messaged me about it.

I like making personal blogs. The thoughts flow so freely as I type them. No need to make a research of facts that we are talking about.

Personal blogs are relatable , so a lot can comment back. At least, with the personal blog we can be assured they are not those researched and copied ones from some parts of articles on the net or a book.

    • Good suggestions to take into consideration. Thank you for giving tips on how to do our topic.

You are also right that it is easier to read the 300-word article rather than the lengthy ones.

I haven't written a 500-word article yet. As you said, a 500-word article the rate is $0.22 or $0.00044 per word.

To apply the rate to 300 words, total earnings will only be $0.132 as compared to $0.15 earnings for a 300-word article.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I might just be confused.
