I hate it when the media tell us look this star or that star using that product or taht make up brand or any brand only to make us use it.

i like some stars and like what they wear or the makeup they put , but they didnt choose it , these brands of clothes and makeup are given to them only to make us fans like to use it too, and even that star has choosen that brand does not mean i have to choose it too, stars or celebrities are human like us, and i dont follow another human only due to my likeness i buty what i like, i buy what suits me, not what suits the media or that brands. i like to be free and choose what i like with no effect of the medi what do what hey do only for money, also for bad luck the fans the stars do that also for the money, so that is were you should not think for any body but yourself, thikn if it suits you , if its affordable for you and so on.

My Apple Genius Bar Experience

Are you an Apple user? If you are and ever have any problems with your device – you should definitely make an appointment at Apple Genius Bar. It is free to make an appointment and if you have any problems with your device(s) – they will be happy to repair free of charge for you if your device(s) still has warranty or extended warranty like Apple care. If the problem cannot be fixed, then you will receive a new device at no additional charge. If your warranty or Apple care is out of warranty, they will still help you figure out what is wrong with your device and give you a quote – then you are not pressured to get the device fixed, but at least you have an idea of what is wrong.

What is Apple Genius Bar? It is a free service where you have to make an online appointment if you have any issues with your device whether it may be cosmetic or hardware, software, need help with using apps or anything relating to Apple at the Apple Store. The Apple Genius Bar is in the back of the store, that is why you sometimes see people luging their iMac’s or laptops, etc to the store for help and occasionally free classes are offered. If you are unable to make an appointment at your nearest Apple store – you could also seek help via Chat, at an Authorized Apple Center or even E-mail/Mail device in. It all depends on your situation and you should read the details on the Apple website.

My experience with Apple Genius Bar? I have had camera issues with my Apple iPhone and they were able to change my camera out within one hour. I also had damage charging cords and headphones and were able to switch out for new ones immediately.

do you like online books, i mean whta they call now ebooks or ereader, i dont have it but tired to read online book, its nice and free and so it save money but the thing is that you need to open your eyes too wide to read and thats hurt, the real books and i mean actual books the one with the papers and thick cover as you remember

they have nice feeling, to start with each page and turn the page and mark the page wne you stop to go eat or go out, then you come back in a few minutes or next day and check where you left the last page and keep reading.

real books are something you cant feel its sensation with other tech, that is why you need to have real library or real books, the people who loves understand that situation.

i like to read few times aday but when i was younger i liked to read everyday for hours, and love to read the whole book as fast as possible, but after starting my work its really hard to find time for that hubby, then had to read if possible online and if there free time and quite time then read

do you like to read online or hard books? if so what types of books do you like to read? i like all the types but mostly science and health and the writer i like to read to is Paulo choelu

he is brazilian and he write in good way that let you think and think and enjoy how intelligent he is as a writer and hwo inspired he is

do you like this writer or knwo him if so which book for him did you read, i read all his books that i know

What apps do you have on your phone?

I have owned my phone for almost two months now. I have the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, specifically the 128GB and for some reason my iCloud is already full! I am not sure why, but I will have to research the internet on what to do because my previous phone being a 64GB – I never had that problem. With transitioning phones, I still have not downloaded all the apps I want, but heres a blog post on what apps I currently have on my phone.

These are the apps I have on my phone:

  • Pandora – personalized free radio station
  • Yelp – review of local restaurants, eatery, spots
  • Macys – my all time favorite shopping mall and the app is useful to retrieve coupons and scan tags to check the price instead of finding a price checker in the store
  • Whole Foods – the grocery store I shop most often where you can find weekly advertisement sales and mobile coupons/deals
  • Target and Cartwheel – a useful market place where I can find deals, check prices and mobile coupons
  • News – to follow the latest news and updates
  • Hulu and Netflix – watch movies and tv shows
  • Poshmark and Mercari – app I sell clothes
  • Facebook – social media
  • P Tracker – track menstrual cycle
  • Google Hangout – chat
  • Shop Your Way and WinIt – App to try to win points to shop at Sears and chance to win some awesome prizes. I have never won prizes but I have won points to shop at Sears toward purchases
  • Fotor – photo editor that I like to use for collages
  • Receipt Hog – scan receipts to earn points and cash out for Amazon gift card
  • Bank – to check on my account and credit cards

What kind of apps do you have on your phone? I used to have games but now I just strictly try to keep apps that I need or are useful.

Pros/Cons of owning an Apple iPhone 7 Plus

In addition to my previous blog post about How I justify buying an iPhone 7 Plus – I also want to point out some pro/cons of owning this particular device.

The huge and one big highlight con would have to be there is absolutely no headphone jack! In order for you to listen to your headphones (if it has cord) you have to use an adapter. With the adapter you have about a inch and half of extra wire sticking out then your headphone connected to that. Or, you can opt for wireless headphones (then that would be an additional cost to you.) And say, you are listening to your headphones then your phone is running low? Well, you can only pick to do one at a time – charge your phone or listen to music, not both unless you have wireless headphones. Overall: Without this headphone jack, I just find myself not using my headphones as often!

Now on to the pros
(comparing from my previous phone which was the Apple iPhone 6 Plus)

  • Better camera! In fact the rear came it’s dual!
  • Better battery life! I can actually go a full day and even throughout the early morning without having to charge my phone.
  • Better resolution!
  • More storage options available – which I absolutely love because 64GB previously was not enough for me, now I have the 128GB option.
  • Water submerge for up to a meter (up to 30 minutes) encase.

Then with the pros, you can use your phone as a decent point and shoot for taking pictures on the go, quick videos, as a GPS. FaceTime with family and friends, connect on social media, surf the internet, make calls and so forth! And most importantly, you can make some money by having a smart phone or saving money! I will go in depth with app reviews on how I make some money or save money in my future posts!

How do I justify purchasing an iPhone 7 Plus? Honestly, it depends on HOW you use your phone because for me, in the end – owning a smartphone actually does pay back for itself!

Here are some examples on how a smartphone can pay for itself?

  1. Now a days – many grocery stores, restaurants, fast food, stores offer weekly ads, mobile coupons, deals, freebies – where you can clip directly from your phone and redeem in stores. You will automatically receive discounts or some sort of loyalty toward discounted future purchases as well. Essentially you are saving money by being able to have these apps.
  2. Even if you do not have an app physically downloaded on your phone, you could always browse the internet to see if there are any deals or compare prices (for price match) to save money. Many stores accept price matching or competitor coupons!  Essentially saving yourself money!
  3. There are a handful of apps where you can scan your receipt from your phone to earn cash back or points toward gift cards! Essentially earning back for already spending!
  4. There are apps where you can “check in” to stores and earn gift cards. Earning for being present at the stores you normally shop at already!
  5. You could sell your pre-loved, new clothes from apps like Poshmark, Mercari Earning money for selling items you no longer want, fit, need, like and you can use that money toward something else that you want! Essentially selling from home!
  6. You could actually start a job with owning a smartphone if you have a car and drive for Lyft, Uber. Making money and I heard you earn good money!
  7. You can win free money to shop in stores by using certain apps! You can’t go wrong with free right?
  8. Being connected with social media, you have opportunities to enter contests, sweepstakes, and so forth!
  9. You can do surveys, take polls, online surveys, forums on your phone for some spare money!
  10. And there are so many more reasons! I will go in depth in some points next time.

*Some examples listed – I do not physically use.

Cell Phones make Spying So Easy
February 16, 2017

Having been involved in a specific legal matter in Jamaica, I was stunned by the fact that the Cell company, all cell companies, keep records of every call made; when, where, who… and in cases, record the conversation.

This isn’t a Jamaican thing, apparently, cell phones were created for the purpose of being ‘porous’.   The ability to spy on conversations was built into the system.

Everyone of you is being spied on.  Every single conversation, text message, image, is copied and kept by your provider.   This is not paranoia, this is fact.

In some cases, to get the information from the company requires an actual warrant.   In others, it is a request. And in some, it’s just a matter of hacking in.

So using a cell phone is chatting your business in a crowded room where everyone can hear you.

Speaking of that, most people chat so that everyone can hear what they say.   I am in this room.  There’s a big gal outside talking on her cell.   I hear every word she says, and much of what is being said to her.

Unlike ancient days where one speaks into a receiver, where the top is by the ear and the bottom by the mouth so that whispering is audible to the person on the other end, but not to the person three feet away, today, the user has the phone at the ear and is talking as if they are at a football match, trying to be heard over the crowd.

Using this fact,  it is so easy to spy on others, get their secrets, hear their plans, that it isn’t very difficult to ‘con’ them.

One is in a lobby and hears some gal talking to another about the problems with her bank account, or her plans for the evening, or the names of her friends.   The information is easily used.

That everyone but me spends most of their waking hours, (when they aren’t stuffing their mouths with food) or speaking to a person in front of them, on the cell phone.    I can watch people walk into walls, drop their property or have it picked from their pocket while they babble on and on.

I could imagine being a spy and watching my ‘prey’.

There he is, babbling into his cell phone.   I get close, whip out mine, and pretend I am talking too… I hear every word he says, much of what is said to him.   If he speaks a foreign language, I can record it.

With my back to him, seeming into my own world, even if he sees me behind him, he might simply step away and I’ll figure out how to keep in his circle.

If that fails, just a simple hack into the Cell service he uses.

So easy.

ON THE SAFETY AND CLEANING OF ELECTRICAL OVEN
Oven applicancesonline com

Today there is an availability of all-in-one cleaning products  in various forms like liquids, Soaps, powders, detergents, in all Local  and Departmental stores. Their easy availability also made the cleaning not a big problem for a modern house wife.

Their availability made the cleaning process of silver utensils, items, steel items,  floor tiles, steel utensils, Copper, Brass and mechanical appliances very easy.

But, the problem emanates when it comes to cleaning electrical appliances. One should be very careful while cleaning these ‘shock prone appliances’ as any mishandling or negligence may sometimes lead to untold damages followed by miseries.

With the advancement of science, a housewife or a worker who spends most of her time in the kitchen cooking food for a family got a great relief with the introduction of Microwave oven and it’s addition to the list of needed kitchen appliances has become inevitable.

She need not spend a lot of time in the kitchen as the Microwave oven cooks food fast. She need not worry now as she can readily serve the food hot at any time and whenever required and even need not feel sorry for keeping it away  as it is not hot.

The Microwave oven is at her hand for heating pre-cooked food and for cooking varieties of foods and with some additional reading, she will be able to give additional heating effects to the cooked food. Above all her time to cook food almost has been cut down to a great extent. But, this kitchen appliance needs proper cleaning to avoid foul smells and accumulation of bacteria in it. Further, there are certain precautions need to be taken while using a microwave.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION

One should always know that it is not advisable to use microwave Oven when the door is not firm or if the hinges and latches are worn out.

Many women are in the habit of keeping something on it using it for storage purpose. But, never do that and never operate it when it is empty.

Never stand directly in front of an Oven

Never tamper with the fuse

At the time of cooking always ensure that it is meant for cooking rice and other food items only

Never use brown paper Bag for Popcorn. There is possibility for catching fire

If any fire occurs in the Oven, immediately unplug then switches and leave the door shut.

ON CLEANING AN OVEN

Whenever a Microwave is to be cleaned the first and the golden principle is to remove all the detachable parts and clean them separately using washing liquids or soaps…

The materials required for cleaning are 1. A soft cloth, 2. A bowl of water 3. vinegar 4. Two slices of lemon

Keep the bowl with vinegar for 5 minutes in the microwave to steam up the inner walls of the Microwave Oven and now wipe out the inner walls with a soft cloth as the vinegar will loosen the dirt inside the microwave.

The sliced pieces of lemon may be kept for 1 minutes https://www.google.co.in/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=-FEfWMi0D6fougSbh4mwBA#q=Number+of+indian+dressesin the microwave It kills all the harmful bacteria and also gives a sweet smell inside the Microwave oven.

Hope you got it now…enjoy….and be happy….

A few thoughts about Drones

What is a drone?

A drone is an unmanned aircraft that is controlled by a computer or by a cell phone. Drones have an interesting history. Their development started towards the end of World War 1 but could not be used during that time because it was, still , in the early forming stages. They were used during World War 2 but on a limited basis.

During the 60’s, they were used to spy on other countries. Equipped with a camera, it served its purpose bringing clear photography to its owners. The late 1990’s and beyond, saw the drones used to bomb strategic places in battle. It can, also, be used for crowd control. This equipment has gone through a long evolution and now we see that you can get a drone for an affordable price.

The development stages.

The drones come in all sizes. In fact, there are some that are the size of an insect. Others are the size of a small helicopter. My son Mark brought a drone and I was impressed at how high it flew. It was a small but tough. It made a loud noise, flapping its wings and it would move around with ease. It was, also, equipped with a camera.  Drones are flown everywhere and many would fly it over their neighbors house. There are some people who feel uncomfortable having a drone fly over their house because of privacy issues. My personal opinion is that there should be some respect for privacy in that area.

Notwithstanding, drones are here to stay and we will see more of them in the future. The Amazon company plans on using drones in order to deliver their products on a same day service. How would you feel having a drone deliver your goods from Amazon?  Also, Federal Express and other delivery companies plan to offer delivery services. There are many concerns, though because of the possibility of having their computers hacked and used for terrorism. Another concern would be that when they are flying around the skies, the commercial jetliners might have some difficulties and risk an accident.

Closing thoughts.

We have seen the different types of uses in the drone industry. How it was used in times of peace and war. Now, drones are everywhere and are a good source of entertainment. You can use it when you are on vacation. Just take the drone and use it to  scout the city or place where you are visiting. Imagine if you are going to Toronto, Canada and want to see the Niagara falls from a bird’s eye view? Can you imagine the pictures taken and how spectacular it will look? The sky’s the limit on how you can use the drone, especially, when you go on vacation. Also, there are some who had some drones made with the carcass of a cat and other animals. It brings to my remembrance–Rocky, the flying squirrel cartoon. Now, with this new technique, you might see a flying squirrel in the sky.  Well, that’s it for now sharing my thoughts on drones.  For your information, I will enclose some links below.

The Modern Level of Rudeness
January 23, 2017
8
cell-phone-Block out the distractions

I was raised to see people, say “Good Day”, (or something like that) and maybe a sentence or so.  I was not raised to pass people and not see them.

I was raised to tell the person on the phone to ‘hold on’, and deal with a physical presence.

Each day I see people on their phones, or with the earphones in, walking, talking, ignoring everyone around them.   They sit on their phones for so long, saying nothing much.   I know they are saying much, and hearing nothing much, because I can hear every word.

It is not a conversation one wants to overhear, it is just so loud and annoying one has to hear.

Cell Phones are the main driver of today’s high level of rudeness.  Of people who will walk into your office, talking on the phone, and expect you to wait until they are finished.   And hearing the conversation; often both sides, it is nothing that need be communicated now.

It is not simply that people ignore you, it is that they don’t see you.  One of the facts is that many people can not multi-task.  They can not talk on the phone and walk at the same time with any competence.  They don’t see where they are going, and certainly don’t see people in their path.

Some of them are driving, and talking on their phones.

I’ll never forget getting a life at about 7:00 pm and the driver never got off her cell phone during the 20 minute drive.  And she didn’t drive well.  It was lucky I survived.  And I am never stretching my luck again.

I have made it my duty not to speak on the cell unless I am sitting at my desk, or standing stock still.  I don’t walk and talk, and I don’t get into long unimportant conversations.

People who call; “Just to Talk” have to do this at specific times when I am home.

I have made up my mind to ‘be here now.’ Not to miss anything, not to be distracted.  To focus on what I am doing while I am doing it.

Which why I notice the incredible rudeness of people today.
