Part I – Lies about mythical powers of anger:

Anger is exhilarating for many of us as it instils a sense of power, active & vibrant personality. It seems to get work done immediately. People around stay in a feeling of fear and allows domination of the person with anger. Everyone around appears to get disciplined. For believers of this creed, lack of anger is seen as a sign of weakness and that people will start taking you for granted. These are the belief systems which justifies anger in individuals. Although it sounds small but these are not simple things…BELIEF SYSTEMS. This makes the matter that much important and crucial.

A belief system is a very deep rooted thought pattern which affects the other thinking styles of the person concerned. These are so deep rooted that they tend to define major parts of the personality of the person concerned. Since it is so deep-rooted, its elimination is also equally difficult. Most importantly, since it is a part of the belief system, the person fails to take note of any adverse findings on the issue. They would either not notice it or may simply brush it aside citing some silly reason. So the belief system tends to stay back and keep influencing other aspects of the personality.

The only solution for a person to change his erroneous belief system is continuous exposure to right ideas. This takes time! And the exposure has to be in diverse modes. However, the readiness of the person has to be judged before planning and giving such exposure. Here lies the challenge for parenting or teaching.
