Ananias and Saphira Punishment is Classic Fear Story

There is a story about an Ananias and Sapphira who willingly have the opportunity to share money from their sale to other members of their enclave. It’s an old story from Bible, during the time of early Christian church in Jerusalem with apostle Peter on the head.
But, that people didn’t share all they earned from selling, but some part they hid for them. Instead of taking what they willingly shared as a token of teh appreciation, apostle scorn them in name of Holy Spirit and they fell dead.

Does this appear to you as an all mighty-full loving God? Or just another scare story made by the desperate money hungry new church who needed money to grow and establish so badly?

I think I may hear about this story before but did not like it at all from the beginning. In that ancient time, the property was said to be willingly shared among members of the same group. So this two were owners, but instead giving all their wealth to their head of church they kept some for themselves. It is said they willingly shared the wealth, but then again they were killed when they decided to not share everything? How is that free will?

It is not, I think about this story a lot and it comes to me this. the only way to get money from believers is only by making them believe so much like fanatics or making them fear for their life ( and soul ultimately).

This story is clear like a day to make fear among people and to make them fear some supernatural force so much they not just willingly give property and money to a new religion that was at that time, but also give from the fear. This method was used for centuries to force people to pay religious leaders for nothing but preaching fairy tales and lies.
All this story form religion is taken from much older civilizations, from India, from Zarathustra. Don’t believe? Read their books, you will see.

    • You need to read that story again. You've got it all wrong. I may not be able to convince and convict you. But I can speak from my own experience. Falling into the Hands of the Living God is something we should be afraid of. Ananias and Sapphira reaped what they sowed. “You reap what you sow.” That's God's law and He enforces it. He knows our hearts and true intentions. His justice and judgment is always right and righteous. I might also add He does not need to explain His actions and decisions to anyone. He is a loving God. He is a forgiving God. He is also a just God. He does not have a split personality. His reasoning and intelligence is way beyond anything we mere mortals can comprehend. Trust Him. Have faith. He won't fail you. Don't test Him. He is not Someone to play with. If Ananias and Sapphira could return to speak to you, they would tell you themselves. But they can't. However you have their story. Believe it or not. +++

      • What experience is that? How about your community asks for money when you sell house, and you say no. Then they kill you and your husband and tell everybody it was God will, because you deserved it? That is story in short. God has no interest in money that I am sure of, an you can believe it FOR SURE. This is story about greed and how to get money from gullible people.
