Eswar is the son of Poonam Natarajan, from the birth itself he falls in  cerebral palsy. The children with  cerebral palsy also having physical, mental disorders including  dumb and deaf. They cannot sit, walk, play and laugh like other children. By that time she is doing research in a university, if she completes that she will get a good job. Her ambitions  vanished after seeing his son with cerebral palsy. Even doctors also express their inability and they also confirmed that  there is no use if she takes the child to other medical centers. But she hopes that his child also will grow like other children.
She prepares to give training to his child on that way, how to train for especially need children on those aspects she obtained training in Spastics society of India, Delhi and Mumbai branches. How the child is acting according to that she wishes to train him and make a plan, Sometimes she has to do the same work and tell again  by all these she learned several lessons for separate needs of those children. By providing required training to her child, by this, she learns how to tackle with these children. No school administration is willing to allow his child in the school that creates my persistence. So why should not  I start a school for especially needed children that are the inspiration for this said by Poonam?.
Before that, she wishes to clear the doubts and misunderstandings of the parents of those children. In that way, she started the programs several people also join hands as support to this programs. Easwar with other two children who are also suffering from  same cerebral palsy she started “Spastics society of India” branch  in her garage itself in the year 1985. Gradually changed to trust office in Chennai, a few days after starting this her husband dies with the heart attack at the age of 47.  After few days with chest problems his son also Eswar died at the age of 22. But all these happenings does not affect her goal, now Vidyasagar given help to 3500 especially children. Started as the small school and became the national institution but for this Poonam’s strong efforts are there.
The trained children in this institute are now going to schools, colleges, and even some people are working.
Lot of children will get physiotherapy in Vidyasagar daily
There is waiting list of 1000 children to join this institution any time
With the co-operation of “Teddy Trust” services are providing to tribal children in this Vidyasagar

    • God bless people who do good works like this, and render acts of mercy and compassion. Some want to use the science of genetics to cure illnesses that are inherited, which is how it should be used to benefit humanity. Some people want to use genetics to develop what they call a “perfect race”. Who told them they have the correct definition of “perfect”? According to their definition, none of the children at an organization like this would have any value at all and could not possibly contribute to society. They would just be a “burden to society”. (I've heard people say this.) The work and results of organizations like Vidya Sagar show living proof against that ridiculous notion about the “perfect race”.
