When you make up your mind to write articles, understandably, you must decide what to write and what topics to cover particularly those issues that may interest your visitors. You may be writing an article in order to use the same as a strategy to get traffic to your blog or website as well as promoting an affiliate product. In that case you must find products that are of interest to promote, preferably products on which you have some knowledge.
Depending on the interest you have for the product to promote and also the knowledge you have on it, it will be easier for you to write articles to promote the product or service and write good quality content for readers seeking information related to that product. Find out a good affiliate program that offers products and services that interests you and sign up with them to promote their products. However, it is important to review some aspects before registering.
What are those aspects which you have to review before registering? They are the demand this product have in the market, support and service they provide, commissions paid and of course the product quality. You can visit forums where issues related to the product or services you intend to promote are discussed. This will help you to know what does the people want and the specific information they are looking for so that you can immediately know the needs of the people.
This information will make it easier for you to write your articles. And if you still find it difficult, you can always do some research before writing. You can also visit blogs and websites that specialize in the product or service you wish to promote and then decide on what to write. You can also find some great ideas to match the ones you already have and offer your visitors and prospective customers’ updated information and the much needed quality.
Provide your readers as much information as possible and in as much detail as possible. For example, if you intend to promote some software, give as much detail about the software’s compatibility, functions, installation, etc. You can often find articles that have been written with a link in it to any product or service. But this does not add any value to the reader, does not satisfy any need or sheds any light on the product or service you intend to sell.

Could reviews on different products attract viewers? For me it seems to be one of the best ways to attract traffic. When I say product it could even be a topic on physiotherapy for example. There are sites that promote this therapy.
I have recently listed my blog in some blog directories and I have found it to be very useful in drawing traffic to my blog.
For example , my posts are mostly related to recipes
Does it means that I have to elaborate on the ingredients , how to make them, where to find them, what are the benefits?
Then, my post would be pretty long isn't it?
I like 500 words per post . If I break them into 2 posts, which should I add into the recipe post first?
