Making a large followers or friends on Google+ seems hard, especially for pages.
But I have found 1 trick to make it possible to make about 50 to 100 followers a day, even if your profile or page is new, and this trick is called “RECIPROCITY”
Reciprocity means something that you would do to others and in return they will do it to you, a mutual benefit.
This trick has never been new to most social media users, but in the case of gaining followers on Google +, this trick will not work well if you will not follow the method stated here.
In order for this trick (Reciprocity) to work for you on Google+ you have to follow this Guidelines:
1. You should complete your profile, use real name and profile photo, it’s still better to be real.
2. Join communities with large numbers of members,members should be active in regards of posting, commenting and liking (+1), funny community seems to work best with this method.
3. This is were reciprocity starts to work it’s magic, you need add or follow recently active people (as recent as possible) on that community.
4. To determine who are those people that are just recently active just look at the timestamp of their latest post of that community, if it is below 15 minutes you can add them.
5. On that same post which is posted less than 15 minutes ago, look and add those person who gives comment and like, they will be surely active and online.
6. If you can add/follow around 400-500 a day, you will surely get a follow-back of around 50 to 100+ within a day, so don’t worry about non-follow backs, just give them sometime before unfollowing.
This is the simplest effective way to increase the number of your followers in no time, in about 15 days you’ll get about 1000 followers if you do this regularly.

It's the oddest thing. I joined Google Plus when it first started. I have been on Facebook for several more years. I have 5K followers on G+ and less than 1000 followers or friends on Facebook. Having followers on G+ is one thing. Getting views and getting people to click on the shared links is another. Lots of people follow you on G+.
