You Might Want To Know The 3 Surprising Facts About Your Blood Vessels

What you know is the common word and knowledge about blood which mans the support of human lives. When there is blood there s life. But if the blood is in its abnormality circulation that is the time you will realize how important blood is.

When we say blood vessels, they consist of arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules, and veins. All blood is carried in these vessels. What if there is problem of the arteries? Arteries are strong, flexible, and resilient blood vessels that carry blood away and bear the highest blood pressures. That is why, it is not good of you if having high blood pressures for when the blood bursts out , you will collapsed from its attack we call heart attack due to the arteries that cannot anymore support the vessels for the pressure overlaps the existing strong pressures, the normal so that we can breathe well.

If the arteries are weak, you will experience slow breathing, and you seem grasping the air. Arteries are elastic and because of this, they narrow or recoil possibly when your heart is relaxing between beats, and thus, helping  maintain blood pressure. Take note, too much stress make your heart beat fast that seems like abnormally beating. That is because the arteries are not at ease, the keep on recoiling for you.

The arteries branch into smaller and smaller vessels, and they will eventually become very small vessels called arterioles .Arteries and arterioles have muscular walls that are responsible to adjust the blood flow to a particular part of your body. It is very important to give extra care and attention to our body for all the body parts will be affected.

Both arteries and arterioles have relatively thick muscular walls. They control the blood pressure that may tend to rise by adjusting the blood diameter to maintain blood pressure and control blood flow. They are so important and they serve as the principal parts that are surrounded by veins and venules that are much lower than arteries and arterioles.  Veins will have auto dilation to accommodate blood volume.

If a blood vessel breaks, tears, or is cut, blood leaks out, causing bleeding. Blood may flow out of the body, as external bleeding, or it may flow into the spaces around organs or directly into organs as internal bleeding.

These are the following  facts of blood vessels:

  1. You have 60,000 miles of blood vessels. If all the blood vessels in your body are laid end to end, they would surely reach about 60,000 miles, so long miles; they could circle the globe, LOL.

  1. You have nearly 2,000 gallons of oxygen and nutrients- rich blood that runs through your blood vessels every single day. It is said that over the course of a life time, your blood vessels will carry about a million barrels of blood throughout the body. This is awesome fact. That is why, when we see someone being hit and run by car , the victim’s blood immediately bursts out because there is breakage and exit of blood. That is why lucky are those whose blood are well taken -cared of the owner self.

  1. Blood vessels must work as a team including your arteries, veins, and capillaries. The arteries, take away blood from your heart, the veins take the blood to your heart, and the capillaries, work between veins and arteries and supply your tissues with blood.

We learned all these during our early childhood education in science class. It is your duty to take care of your body and health to have the arteries and their partners work hard and effective for you.

    • @Hamza Rajput ,Thanks for dropping by, very much appreciated.Yes, this is very informative and I spent time searching and reading just to have something to write for the benefits of the readers. Me, too the writer learned what I learned. This is so important info so that each of us should take good care of our body. Our body is so vulnerable and easily be contaminated with harmful diseases f not well protected in terms of eating the right foods and not dong the over stressing of the body.

Even myself cannot guarantee that I am taking good care of myself for I always sleep late hehehehe. mostly spend 4 to 5 hours sleep. Thanks and take care.

    • Circulatory system is fascinating. It sustains life to the fullest. We need to protect our body against substances that can affect the total function of circulatory system. If we do this, then there's no need to worry about infliction of heart or brain attack. There are other variants of diseases but the main point is to modify our lifestyles to be in good health.

    • Blood vessels are found throughout the body. There are five main types of blood vessels: arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules and veins. Arteries carry blood away from the heart to other organs. ... They have very thin walls which allow nutrients from the blood to pass into the body tissues. There are three major types of blood vessels: the arteries, which carry the blood away from the heart; the capillaries, which enable the actual exchange of water and chemicals between the blood and the tissues; and the veins, which carry blood from the capillaries back toward the heart. Veins have much thinner walls than do arteries, largely because the pressure in veins is so much lower. Veins can widen (dilate) as the amount of fluid in them increases. Some veins, particularly veins in the legs, have valves in them, to prevent blood from flowing backward. The blood vessels are part of the circulatory system and function to transport blood throughout the body. The most important types, arteries and veins, carry blood away from or towards the heart, respectively. All blood vessels have the same basic structure. Arterioles connect with even smaller blood vessels called capillaries. Through the thin walls of the capillaries, oxygen and nutrients pass from blood into tissues, and waste products pass from tissues into blood. From the capillaries, blood passes into venules, then into veins to return to the heart.
