What is right for you is wrong for me- is it?

There is an old saying in our country that if translated will sound something to the effect, “When I tried searching for a bad person I found none as bad as myself”. That makes one think about evils that we all have in us but we do not consider them as bad but try to look for them in others.

That particular point is not hard to understand as everyone feels almost same as no one sees anything wrong within him but easily points his accusing fingers towards others for the same mistakes what he does himself. But on the other hand what we find wrong in others, they do not consider it wrong.

That’s what is human trait the emotional and behavioral characteristics of an individual or the entire group of human that lives in this society. But there is a way we can check what is wrong or right following a simple procedure. Listen to your heart and when your heart says the work you’re about to do is wrong, stop at that very point.

There is another saying by Kalidas the great poet that goes like this, ‘your evil doings whether small or big are like holes in your boat which will become the reason of finally sinking of your boat”. The man looks at the evils alluringly, finding them highly attractive and able to arouse his hopes and desires for them and soon adopts them at the first opportunity.

And that’s not end of the story but the story his downfall begins with his adoption of first mistake, he soon adds other bad habits as he finds them more interesting than living a simple life. But there is an untold fact that if you feel no one will ever find out about your wrong doings you’re seriously mistaken.

Swami Ram Teertha, the great Hindu teacher and philosopher said, “Even if you sow the seeds of an evil tree in unknown place or in a secured fort, there is no way you can hide the thorny fruits it will produce”

There are so many great words said by different gurus and wise men and one of them Munshi  one of the greatest Hindi writers of all time Premchand said, “The only cure for the evil in human is our noble deed. If your wrong doings put you in trouble your discretion and patience will take you out of them.

What’s right for you maybe do not stand as good for me- It reminds me the famous song, “The way live my life the way I feel is right for me” or maybe I do not remember the words in exactly the same order but they meant the same, or “Say it’s not right for you but right for me”. Maybe someone is not a great match for you but others might find them perfect. The question is ‘whom you find perfect for yourself today would they be the same when you both become older? That’s what counts in the end and that’s what matters most.
