We make a lot of our efforts to see our trees grow, our flowers smile but the snakes beneath the roots do not let them grow. We shall have to make more efforts to see to it that they give us the fruit we expect.
Friends I am talking about a tree which never blossomed to its full potential neither its leaves lived to their full. In fact the leaves would fall sooner than they generally fall from a tree. Its flowers never blessed this unfortunate tree and fruits were simply out of question, as it never flowered.
As I said earlier the tree always looked like a dried out pole standing amongst the other green, fully blossomed trees. This tree was considered the unlucky one by the people who did a lot of efforts to make this tree look like a tree, trying to make it a proper tree they filled it with lot of fertilizers, watered it regularly and did everything they could, but nothing worked, the tree did not show any signs of improvement.
When every effort was tried with this young tree and nothing worked the concerned people who were looking after the tree wanted it to grow it as a fruitful one. They decided to go to the learned wise man that they thought might be able to suggest them the way to get it back to its life. Maybe there was a way it could grow like the other trees in that area.
The learned wise man inspected the tree from every angle ,thought for a while and called a snake charmer, and when the snake charmer played his instrument in front of the tree for some time that was miraculous, out came scores of snakes from under the tree, in fact a whole family of snakes.
The Wiseman declared that the snakes family residing under this tree and was emitting poison all the while and that was the reason the tree was not growing. It was not progressing or getting green. The tree was not becoming fruitful because the snakes were destroying all the labor people were putting in order to bring it to life or to make it fruitful.
As the people now knew the reason, so they killed all the snakes. Now no one says that the tree does not flower, it is beautifully green now, loaded with lot of fruits like normal trees and as the people expected it to be.
So what was the moral of this story! Actually some of us are living in countries like these where the so called leaders are eating up all the fruits but public is suffering. This is all about the snakes sitting in the roots of our trees of development and poisoning the roots. The roots needs be watered with honest hard work which are our way to success, our development but that will not be possible until the corruption remains there. There is no hope we shall not be blessed with the fruit of success, however hard we work, whatever effort we do. So let’s go find the snakes if you want to see your tree grow.

@suny So far nothing of the sort has happened in our garden which has several fruit trees. I do have two or three though look healthy have not yielded so far.
Your comparison to this situation to our politicians is apt.
@bestwriter it is very much happening in our gardens but you have to give it a careful look once again!
This is an interesting analogy. The corrupt politicians thrive on the hard-earned money of the common people.
I never liked snakes when they see one immediately lose my temper, my fear is hard, I think are the most dangerous, especially when you cannot see them and attacking.
The symbols that you are using in this parable or analogy like the snakes, the tree, and the roots may be interpreted in various ways not only in the political point of view, but also to any situation like the business, the organization, the education, and anything which involves interaction.
In the business for example, it (tree) has been put up for the purpose of making profits through the proper use of financing or credits (roots), but the management (the snakes) has abused their authorities which yield to the natural death of the business. The business doesn't grow. It doesn't progress so to speak.
Another example is the education, the pupils/students (tree) are too ambitious to finish their education based on their desire to be a professional and to have a legitimate job someday. The system of education (the roots) has provided all the needs of the students from instructional materials, books, and the laboratory equipment. But their parents (the snakes) have their children stop schooling to help them to work for a living and it is also aggravated by the incompetent teachers (another snake) who are unproductive and haven't contributed anything worthwhile to the students. So everything goes to waste. No success has attained by the student in so doing.
In every country, they do have this kind of government system. The people who have powers and authorities turned to monsters. They have their own personal agendas to squander the money of the people. It is a serious matter for the local people to know the corruption practices. It is a good thing that some advocates fought against abusive of governance. Transparency is the key to lead the people to be aware of what's going on in the government system.
Wonderful analysis of the post in each of your own ways. Great reading you all guys. Thank you so much.
