Things that are not worth to include in your CV.

According to studies, mostly heads hiring new employees on average receive 75 resumes per job filled. They do not have enough time to review the details of each of them, so the first impression formation and anyone is or not suitable for the job and to form decision takes around 6 seconds. If you want to make an impression in the initial testing phase, you need to have a range of solid-looking qualifications and their excellent description underlining those qualifications. Over time, the rules are changing what and how to write on the CV.

Here is a list of things that are not worth to include in your CV, if you are currently looking for a job.

Purpose. If you are applying for it is clear that you need a job.

Negligible, not important work experience. Perhaps you’ve been working something at your summer vacations still being at secondary school. However, if you plan to write down all your necessary small jobs, better reject this idea and also get rid of the clutter that can mess your resume. Of course, sometimes previous work experience, which seems directly related to work, can show other aspects, such as the skills or skills that are very important and necessary. Include only those experiences that really reveal your additional skills and can help to get a job for which you are applying.

Personal information. Do not include in your CV your marital status, religious beliefs or social security code. Perhaps it was a certain standard in the past, but all of the information obtained is not legitimate and the prospective employer has no right to demand it. If you made a personal break for the purpose to travel to or stay with the family, career experts do not recommend it to mention in your CV.

An obvious lie. In one study, it was asked 2000 hired managers identify the most common CV mistakes, and as one of the most common was mentioned an obvious lie. Candidates should focus on the skills they have to offer, rather than on what they cannot provide.

Your age. If you do not want to be discriminated before taking job position because of your age, it’s time to remove your graduation dates.

Obvious words and e-mail address. Career specialists argue that there is no reason to add the word “phone” to your phone number. They know that this is your phone number. This rule applies also to the e-mail. By the way, if you are still using the old e-mail address, such as whether lovejon123@gmail.com or amazingkitty325@yahoo.com, it’s time to choose a new one, more relevant to your job.

Social media, which is not related to the job offer. Connections to your blog, Pinterest or Instagram page really does not have any similarities with the business. Professionals say that the candidates who are inclined to believe that their social sites are valuable usually fail to get job. To the resume can be included links, such as LinkedIn or other similar professional social accounts related to the proposed work.

Personal photo. If the photo is not requested in job advertisement, it is not necessary to add a photo. It takes place, but not provides the useful information to the employer.

The salary information. It is recommended not including the description of your desired salary. This document is intended for the selection, for your professional experience and skills. Salary is discussed later, during a conversation.
