The marvelous Madhubani painting of Indian culture

The origin of the art is in Mithila which is an important city of ancient India because the famous character of Ramayana Sita was born here and the city was under the control of king Janagar (Sita’s father). Mithila is one of the well-known city of ancient India.

Initially, the painting was painted on the freshly plastered mud walls of the houses and they have used paints which are derived from the plants. It was one of the common ways of portraying arts. At first, they started to draw the painting of gods and later it moved on to the famous personalities who lived at that time. After it transferred to the cloth most of the rich people gifted this to friends and the married couples and kings to kings to show their affection towards them.
