The journey to the town

This is a story about an old woman who begins her journey from her village house to the town. She lives in a house away from the town. There are not much facilities in her town. She goes for the journey to get medicine for her grandson who is very sick.

During her journey she she faces lots of difficulties. Such obstacles makes her journey difficult.  As she walks she comes across the pinewoods full of thick bushes. She strikes the bushes gently with her cane and warns the animals to keep out of the way. The hill side seems to be too steep for a woman of her age. But she doesnot lose her hope and heart and moves ahead. Before she could reach the bottom of the hill a thorn from bushes catches her dress. Then she gets busy in pulling her dress free out, before she free from one place another place stuck in the thorn. With a lot of difficulties she finally frees her dress. There is a creek at the bottom of the hill, a log is laid across it which sends as a bridge. To walk across the log is a great test for her but she doesnot lose her heart. The she climbs onto the log, lifts her skirts, levels the cane in front of her and marches right across it. After crossing the creek, she comes across a barbed wire fence. She creeps and crawls through it with a lot of difficulties. As she passes through the dead corn field, she mistakes the scarecrow for a man at first and ghost and realizes her mistake. At last when the big black dock knocks her unweares she falls in a ditch. Then a young white man comes and helps her to get out of the ditch.

Then she moves forward to the town. Then at last she reaches to the town. Then she moves to the hospital straightly. She takes medicine for her grandson and rests there for sometime and returns to her house at the village.
