The art of speaking in a right way

It is first chapter of my management related experiences that I would like to share with you. I know there would be very few takers but sometimes I feel I should express job related views also on certain special occasions like the one I saw a perfect event manage in our Prime Minister.

How you present yourself to your audience makes a big difference. For instance I heard the speech by our Prime Minister at the three-day event in which Sufi scholars from around the world were taking part and I must admit that it was wonderful.

In his speech our Prime Minister Narendra Modi used lots of words that I had never heard before while he praised Islam for its message of peace and harmony and described Sufism as one of its greatest sects contributing to India’s cultural heritage. I know he did put a bit of show to underline his point at certain occasions but he did that perfectly.

Incidentally he was addressing to a global conference on the opening day of the World Sufi Forum in New Delhi, India on 3/17 2016. And the way he spoke about 99 names of Allah (The God) and explanation that none of those names stood for violence was a master stroke of a management guru.

I was watching him on television right from when he stood from his chair and took the mice in his hands. Modi is a confident man and bigger the crowd bigger goes his confidence level but it was a different occasion as he is not known for speaking on talking on a topic he spoke.

And he looked really glad he was there the way he spoke and his confidence level was great. He was speaking right from his heart. Even his critics thought they had never heard such a wonderful speech coming from a person that was not known for scholarly speeches in favor of Muslims. The gathering of several thousand Muslim Scholars from around the world in that conference stood and clapped for several minutes.
