Taking nap in afternoon is good for health

I am a big fan of afternoon. For me taking a nap is actually the best cure for a bad mood.

I am a habitual nap taker.I take one nap almost every day and have for years.

Naps are not for everyone,I have heard that lots of people say naps do not make them feel better,so I wanted to explore how naps affect your brain and whether they really are good for you or not.

A nap restores alertness in our body. You all knows how your energy dips in the early afternoon? You start feeling a little sleepy, lose focus. It is happens to most of us. A quick and small nap can bring us back up to work.people who napped regularly for 10 to 30 minutes periods improved their performance on cognitive tests of memory and vigilance conducted in the subsequent two and a half hours. While those who napped more than 30 minutes suffered from grogginess, and the 10 minutes nappers experienced an immediate boost in performance.

A ninety minutes nap can potentially keep you calm. When the study participants were shown faces that expressed anger, and fear and happiness at noon, and then again at 6:00 p.m.

Naps are also best to be avoided if you are suffering from insomnia and trying to renormalize your sleep cycle.Napping after learning something can make your memory of that information five times much better than if you had stayed awake afterward.

After napping your brain’s ability to go into a tranquil state during sleep is linked to your ability to remember everything.

The nappers had lower blood pressure after the test than the people who had stayed awake all the day. And it speeds up your heart’s ability to recover from stress, and helping your blood pressure to go down in the process.

Lack of sleep can leave you feeling stressed out and can be even make you sick. But you are not totally screwed after you pull a late night as long as you catch some mini snoozes.
Just one night of bad sleep can br make your blood vessels less flexible. And it can raise your risk of heart disease, which also can, kill you. When our brain is wiped, it signals to our blood vessels to become stiff and unresponsive. The good news is vessels went back to normal after getting enough rest.

People who sleep less than six hours per night have a higher risk of developing chronic diseases like diabetes, and obesity, heart disease, according to a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. People who sleep less are more stressed out, which may be contribute to the development of those fatal conditions.

More hours we spend awake, and the more sluggish our brains become. The solution is,the only Nap. Study participants who took a nap during a day of learning were able to pay better attention later that day.And the those who missed naptime were more easily distracted and became worse at learning as the day went on.

Taking a nap could boost your performance in the gym.Who got more sleep over a three week period achieved faster sprint times, and longer endurance, and a lower heart rate, and the better workouts in general. And the Researchers say that most athletes do not log enough shuteye to recover from their workouts. That can be mess with their minds, mood and reaction times, but scientists say getting more naps can reverse those effects.

    • Yeah, taking a nap in the afternoon absolutely restore our energy. I always felt restless in the afternoon but after taking an hour of sleep, it refreshes my whole body.

Though sometimes, If I have to do important things, I don't take a nap. I just ignore my sleepy body by concentrating on what I am doing. And it makes me more felt tired in the evening after a whole day of work without napping.
