Situations Work Better Given a Second Chance

In any relationship be it formal, informal, business or personal there are situations when a need arises to part company. It is not always that anyone gets back but if they do, that pact gets better results as both parties know what prompted them to part company in the first place. And care is taken not to trample on each other’s toes as was done earlier.

Such a situation happened in my life

This maid was working for us for many years.  Some issues cropped up that forced us to part company. Maids are difficult to come by these days  but the situation was such that I did not want her back.

Having said that none of the maids that joined us later matched this maid who had great qualities.  I missed her and just as these thoughts went through my mind I received a call from this maid who said that it was just a courtesy call. I was in two minds whether to ask her to join back. Much water had flown under the bridge since our parting and as they say time diffuses situations.  I asked that question. Barely that question came out she instantly replied asking me when she should join.

A perfect scenario where both parties were ready and willing to give the partnership a second chance.

Needless to say it worked for us knowing what to avoid that which once upon a time kept us hurting each other.

Giving up on people based on unhappy experiences needs a second thought.  Time matures people and with this maturity situations are better handled given a second chance.

Not that ever situation should be considered as some do not change their attitude no matter what and at the end of the day it is the attitude that makes or breaks a relationship.  Keeing a vigil therefore is necessary before plunging on a reunion.
