Advertisements, publicity propaganda all have gained significance importance we can’t do without so there is no use in denying its importance. In fact the modern age cannot do without advertisement. Formerly the newspapers, house magazines and other printed media of advertisements were the chief vehicles of communication.
The world today has not only come closer due to the bounding progress of science, human life on earth has become myriad patterned. Commercial competitive spirit has generated a culture in which each product claims to hold its own. Naturally man today is up against an array of competitive products that seek to influence him.
We all have heard the famous saying that you know the taste of pudding when you eat it. But today the use of commodities has changed as one likes or dislikes things as advertisements want him to like or dislike it.
However, the commercial point of view of the advertisements needs to be checked as advertisements launched by traders for the sake of publicity not properly backed by facts or bad or indifferent products harms the interests of consumers.
There is no doubt about the fact that advertisement helps us understand about new products or gives us knowledge of the larger world or what’s new coming up for our benefit or even of educative. We learn about hygienic values of food stuffs etc, but all this advertising needs to be in a more sensible form than what is being done.
Actually a blind race of one-upmanship is going so hard that it makes things funny. For instance a multinational company in toothpaste business which is in the market for decades came up with an advertisement immediately followed by rival company with a model wearing a white coat posing as a dentist telling the benefit of their paste.
To counter this advert the first company came with another advertisement warning consumers to stay away from people telling ‘white lies’ wearing white coats. This kind of advertising will not help the cause of people that live in rural or suburban areas that do not understand the publicity gimmick. In my views it is against business ethics.

Advertisement is a tool design to generate and create a need and desire for product or services so they use things and visuals that attracts people. Advertisement decieves and misinform to achieve result hence it ddoes not give information on products. I do buy based on adverts but on my desire.
