WHERE DOES THE SCIENCE FICTION ORIGINATE?
From the Greek and the Roman literature, we read and viewed many movies of an imaginary journey to faraway lands with unusual creatures along the way. In the 17th century, the description of the trip to the Moon was written. Sooner, another story became popular, those wars about the future with new kind of transportations and weapons.
“Frankenstein” (1818) became known as one of the stories telling whether a science is an evil or good. The story is about the Frankenstein who is made out of parts of a human corpse. Alas, the creator of Frankenstein was destroyed by him.
“Journey to the Center of the Earth”, a sci-fi story that was written by Jules Verne, a French writer in the late 19th century where SF took off. He then additionally wrote about the “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” which is about the underwater adventure. The story about the space travel was also known, it was entitled From the Earth to the Moon.
In the year 1895, Sci-Fi lovers shocked with the “The Time machine”, by an H.G. Wells, a very known English Writer. One of the scariest movies ever was also written by Wells, “The Wars of the World”
Wells and other writers used Science fiction to express their thoughts of what’s possible be the future is, including other unknown creatures and new inventions, story about travels in the space, and other predictions of what might be happening with this and with that through science itself.
During the 20th century, science fiction became more popular. Some sci-fi fans even wrote their own stories and books about their imaginary worlds might be. Some of the SF writers who are known in the industry of writings like Isaac Asimov, Arthur Clarke, and Ray Bradbury had been a fan of what they are writing now.
Nowadays, Sci-fi stories are very well known. You can read them in books. You may watch them on TV’s or on your computers. SF is everywhere and many are amazed at it.
