We the Indians are good at many things but seriously lack in certain departments which need to be improved immediately before it is too late. I have reasons to believe that we are already much behind in organic farming or totally dependent on chemicals which is one of the many causes we are suffering in different areas including health and our soil quality is going down constantly.
It sounds like something that is unlikely to happen or unlikely to be true based on logical thinking that we shall be able to provide organic farm products to our children like some of the developed countries like America, Japan and most European countries are providing to their children on mandatory basis.
Organic farming is one of the best ways of living a disease free life, environment clean and at the same time keeps soil healthy. It also helps preserving earth’s water capacity and as there is no use of chemicals it keeps the cost of production down.
We have everything required for organic farming in enough quantity. See in place of chemical fertilizers, pest control and chemicals to destroy unwanted plants, grass and weeds what we need are compost, green fertilizers, bacteria culture, organic fertilizers and organic way pest control which means no use of harmful chemicals.
The fact is soil in itself houses number of useful support system that compliments to each other and provides natural Nutritious support to plants for healthy growth. The basics of organic is to provide the fast growing population besides keeping a control on health related problems at the same time.
There is no reason India cannot succeed in achieving organic farming with its availability of large number of population living in villages, quantity of cattle, large quantity of animal waste and manpower. India is perhaps the best place that can get rid of everything chemical in no time and go organic. If I had to use keywords for this particular post I would use the following words.

Organic food is healthy but a little pricey on the other side.
I do see supermarket selling organic fresh vegetables which looks much fresher, bigger in size and healthier when consume.
Although the price do differ at least 2x the normal stock, it is worth to consume organic food if one could afford.

Much agreed with @peachpurple on this: organic is much more expensive to buy in stores. Like the whole grains that are more healthy than refined, these are the foods that should actually cost less. But in our current society it is always the healthier foods that have the bigger price tag.
