Junior Airwarrior, as the freshly inducted fighters- whether they be the officers or just the normal soldiers were called in Xanade Airforce are full of zeal on their first assignment.
Yet Ronh Xoji was much more excited than a normal Jr. Airwarrior officer.
As a son of a much decorated Airforce father, he always had a fascination, but wanted challenging tasks.
For him, challenges and how he overcame them to achieve what he wanted was more than money, fame or girls, unlike some of his other college and defense course friends.
“Ronh, are you ready”, said Captain Tamzer as he came inside his room.
Tamzer had a special liking for Ronh.
“Yes sir, and will you also fly Sir?”
“Yes Ronh, but you will lead the pack of 7.”
The pack of 7 was a special forward attack formation that had been mastered in some of war games and simulation sessions. Now it was time to let them loose.
“Ronh, let us now move fast and unleash the eagles.”
Ronh and Tamzer both started walking faster towards the aircrafts tarmac.
Within 25 minutes, 15 fighter planes took off from the tarmac in 7-4-4 : 7 in front or “The pack of 7”,
4 behind and 4 more, split in 2-2 at a distance to keep a watch and provide more support from behind.

Radar IN330 took notice of incoming intruders and alerted Anti-Air support system AASK234.
5 Virat Ajgar anti-aircraft guns started firing at the intruders, but they seemed to have no impact.
In around 5 minutes, Ronh sitting in Eagle XN2 and his friend Bonx in Eagle XN1 exchanged smiles over the communication system “Bonx let us unleash the smokers.”
They had come over to the Northern area of Colt III and as per their information, the enemy would likely be unprepared, and they could see a few personnel and around 10 aircrafts parked on the parking bay.
“Let go.”
All 7 of the Eagle fighter planes let a fury of smoking bombs and a few very powerful bombs with sharpenels.
There were multiple blasts and the fire and smoke rose high up in the sky and lit it up so much that it could be seen from even 10 kms.
The planes made another pass and damaged what looked like some sheds and a some sort of operator rooms.
The eagles XN1 to XN2 then flew over to the west side. They met with some anti-aircraft fire, but that was not strong enough.
They then damaged most of the planes lying there.
It was all loud sounds, fire and smoke.
By Ronh’s estimate, all in all nearly 25 to 30 planes were going.
“Ronh very well done” said Captain Tamzer told from one of the mid 4 formation planes.
“Now we move to centre and south and blow up their command centre.”
The sleepy sky had indeed awakened.
