I don’t lend money out to just anyone. Those that I do lend to, sometimes I keep in mind that it may never get paid. I see that as a way of blessing someone else and that it will eventually come back around. I once lent someone some money. I forgot all about it until the day she returned the money. I know some people simply can not pay back any of their debts for whatever reason.

There are many different ways to donate to the poor here in the United States but one must be careful who they donate to because some places actually will scam you.

I always donated used clothing that can not be worn any long. I have donated food to food banks and to the Boys Scouts when they have their drive. I have helped serve food at a place that feeds the homeless and the poor of the community. During Christmas, I participate in the “Angel Tree”. What this means I will pick an Angel from a tree and buy that child Christmas presents.

I have given money and food to people on the street. I help animal shelters by providing dog/cat food when I am able to. (animals are poor and need help)

I can also help by donating blood at least once a year. Since I am O negative the blood center is always seeking donations.

Dawnwriter, unfortunately, I am considered to be obese, that is what my doctor says. So yes I am fat. I do have depression and anxiety. I do hate how I look. I do watch what I eat and how much I eat. I do exercise every chance I get.

Grecy Garcia I have depression, anxiety, insomnia, on birth control (was on the shot), stressed out, migraines and have back pain. Does any of this have an effect on my being obese? Probably all of it does. I also gained weight when I was pregnant and never lost that weight. I am trying my best to better myself so I can be healthy and happy with how I look.

Wow, so many people are so misinformed about to the truth of EliteWriters. First of all, EliteWriters has never been any other site. It was NEVER Elite Visitors. Just because I site as “ELITE” in its name does not mean it is in no way related. I just love how people assume things without even knowing the facts.

SuperD Everyone that has posted on EliteWriters.org and has reached the cash out has been paid. I don’t know what you may have heard but it’s not true.

Melissa Jarrell, you can believe what others have told you if you want but they don’t even know the truth because half of these people have never been a member of EliteWriters.

With any site, if you don’t bring in views for your articles then why would you blame the site? The site is not responsible for bringing in views for anyone. That is why there are options to share your articles to many different social sites.

On the other site, I am on, where I do most of my writing, I never add a picture before the first paragraph. I usually save the picture for the featured picture. I will add a photo later down the article where it is needed. If one is needed. Some people don’t realize that there should only be a certain amount of pictures per xxxx amount of words written in the article. If you add to many pictures it will end up hurting your SEO for that article.

I am not familiar with “art” films. I did a google search of art films and the list of movies that popped up I know I have never heard of. So no I have never watched an art film.

Anjee this is what wiki said about art films:

An art film is typically a serious, independent film aimed at a niche market rather than a mass market audience. An art film is “intended to be a serious artistic work, often experimental and not designed for mass appeal”; they are “made primarily for aesthetic reasons rather than commercial profit”, and they contain “unconventional or highly symbolic content”.

I wonder if Netflix has a few of these type of movies online. I will have to see so I can watch a few.

I don’t think there is a way to block a spammer on sites like these. I think the best thing to do is to let Support know what is going and just simply ignore the person. I wonder how easy it would be for a bot to register on LB? Sometimes people will sign up with bots and the bots will do all of the messaging. Those things can be annoying at times.

I was never a member of that site but I would sometimes go and read articles of friends. It doesn’t look like the owner or his admin Rex has been on the site in over a week. Now that is sad when the admins are not active. That shows you that (1) they either gave up hope, (2) there’s something more to what they are not saying, or (3) they are close to the end of its reign.

I know no one wants a site to end but what is the use of it if no one is there giving the site any type of traffic? A writing site needs traffic in order to get paid by any ad company. Of course, in order to have traffic they need people to write. So if there are no writers writing then pretty soon there won’t be a site.

Increased rates is always great news to hear but am I the only that takes other things into consideration?  Support please keep things at a level where it helps the site as well as the writer. Server costs and other maintenance fees should be considered first before raising any rates. These costs are not cheap.

I can wait patiently for changes to occur here on LB. No need for me to act greedy.

I have found the site to be of some use. I do know that people tend to shy away from certain subjects here or they just don’t see them. Private messages are fine sometimes but not everyone thinks the same. Why write in pm when you can write in forum and get paid for it?

I like to talk about different things. I talk about most things but some things I will stay quiet about.

What was the person’s name so I can avoid them as well. I have a few new friend request but I do not accept all requests. I am very skittish when it comes to new people that have just joined. I do agree with you about not wanting to PM people. I rather talk in the open in case someone else has the same questions or ideas. Then everyone can see as well.

I agree with your sentiments about not adding people to your friend’s list with no picture. I also don’t add people who don’t stick around longer than a day or two. I like to add people that are willing to stick around no matter what.

As for my profile picture, I just recently changed it to a picture of one of my kittens. He’s such a sweet little thing.

kallison gumbs, I’m sorry but I don’t understand your question. What method are you referring to? Here in forums, like the other two people have stated, must have some kind of merit behind it. What I mean by merit is a meaning to why you post it. Writing only a few lines just so you can write something will not get you very far on this site. This site is looking for more than just one line or even 5 lines of words. We want a genuine conversation to take place and can be continued by the next person.

javeria Nadeem, sometimes it is best to watch and learn from others who have been around for “ages” and see how they do things before getting started. At least, that is what I did. I watched before I started posting anything. Asking questions is another good thing. The ones that have been here since the beginning know how to get things done. Hopefully one day I will write my first article here.

cely, thanks for the wise advice. I always try to add to the conversation if I can. If not then I simply will not comment. I think watching, observing is a good way to learn how things are done. I’ve never been the type to just jump in without testing the waters first.

I have never heard of this site. What exactly do you do there? Do you just chat? Can you tell us more about it please.

Dawnwriter, I have a children’s section and preteen section as well. I have all the Harry Potter books and the Twilight series. When my kids were younger I would buy books from their school when they would sell them. My kids are in high school now and read adult books.

When my youngest daughter was younger she would read everything she got her hands on. I guess that is why she is in all gifted classes and whatnot. Super smart.

You are welcome to come read a few books if you want. 🙂
