JOLSE (Online store review)

I love shopping online. It is really convenient to buy things (especially the heavy items) and have it delivered to your doorstep. Apart from that, it is also very convenient especially during the SALE season to buy a piece of clothing without queueing for too long to fit or to pay for it!
One of the things I use the Internet to shop is to buy Korean cosmetics/skincare. Living in Ireland meant that I have easy access to Western skincare. I love brands like Kiehl’s, L’ Occitane, Clinique, and Loreal to name a few but sometimes, I don’t like to spend too much money on skincare. It is probably a good thing my skin is not overly sensitive to skincare products so it is very easy for me to switch brands and products without causing adverse effects on my skin!

Speaking of skincare (Korean brands in particular) and online shopping, one of the websites I recently discovered and easily fell in love with is Jolse. I discovered the site after doing a bit of Google search on the reputable online shops to buy Korean skincare brands that are also competitively priced.
One of the things that I liked about the site is that it offers “free” shipping. Of course, there is really no such thing as free and the site merely factors in the shipping fees with the items they sell but even so, the prices are still competitive even if I compare it to the products sold from other websites (RoseRoseShop or eBay) wherein I have to pay for the shipping by weight.
Processing my order is also quick. It usually takes about 2-3 days (weekends included) to ship my orders which are quite good. I never have to expedite shipping since I don’t want to pay for any extras but noticed that standard shipping from Korea to Ireland only takes about 2-3 weeks so it is not that bad, if you ask me. For the first two orders, I paid for an additional $2.50 to have the tracking number but with the third one that I recently made, I decided not to pay for it. So I am hoping and crossing my fingers I will not have issues with it!
Another thing to love about Jolse is the HUGE amount of samples they give! I don’t think there’s anybody who doesn’t love free sample skincare products, right? The photo I posted was accumulated from the last two orders I received from Jolse and mind you that with each order, I only bought two or three items from them!
Lastly, it is possible to save more from the site by earning store credits. You can earn store credits from buying from the site (minimum of $0.10 per item) or thru posting product reviews!
On days when I don’t have much to do, I regularly visit the site and just love browsing thru the selection. So far, I am very much pleased with the site and I am hoping to unbox my recent purchase soon!

    • i like shopping online too. very convient and love the extras they give you. Amazon is my favorite store to shop at.

      • Oh Amazon is definitely one of the online stores I buy stuff from! I love the cheaper or wider range of products to choose from not to mention that at least I don't have to bring everything home (we just commute)!

    • Sounds like you struck gold. I have a skin lotion, Vanilla Pear by a company called: Jean Philippe fragrances LLC , New York that also comes in Rosemary Peppermint. They moisturize and don't leave a greasy after feeling. They sell for a dollar each for a 20 fluid oz. bottle and sold at certain Dollar stores in the US.

      • Yeah, I am one happy girl! :) It is really nice to see these stores offering an alternative in comparison to the mainstream skincare brands we see in our grocery aisles.

      • Oh for sure you will! Sometimes I wish I don't know these websites so I can stop from buying more. LOL!

    • I haven't tried to buy online. My sister does this for me. I am a traditional type of person who loves buying in shops.

      • I also love buying from the shops but since I discovered websites like Jolse, I realized I can buy a certain skincare item that works in just a fraction of the price I'd usually spend! Well, maybe not cos now I am addicted looking at the items for sale and find it hard to difficult not to click buy!

    • I think if you try out the BB and CC cream, you will fall in love with these.
My mum loves it very much, because the BB cream really hides her imperfection.
She uses it together with sunblock.

      • Thanks for sharing! I don't know, I never really liked wearing BB cream/foundation (not unless I will go to an event). That's one of the things why I decided to buy skincare online because the ones available here in the groceries are ALWAYS BB/CC creams for day use and I don't like it.

    • I always shop on line thru LASADA.There are so many items that I already purchased at Lasada thru on line and what makes it feel good to me is, I pay through COD, so I can chance myself to check the product. Shopp9ng on line in truly effortless. I like their door to door delivery.

      • I think LAZADA is only available in Asia, isn't it? eBay is also a nice site for me to buy these things especially during auction but when I really need to buy a skincare product, JOLSE is my go-to site these days. They are quick to ship the items and it arrives well-packed to protect the item from breaking.

    • Shopping is the weakness of women and burden on men but useless shopping. Make shopping but according to need and always buy necessary stuffs but unnecessary stuffs because it is waste of time and money. But today Today I'm going to be talking about my shopping experience with Jolse!

I made a purchase with them at the start of April when I started to get a little bit OCD about completing some sets of Korean Cosmetics that I have incomplete at the moment! Unfortunately and fortunately for me, these turned out to be quite hard to find and I ended up finding a lot of new Korean Cosmetic stores to shop with and waste all my money in!

I have an extreme dislike for this layout of store. I hate little sidebars and advertisements down the side of my screens, it's just irritating to me! What makes matters worse is that this site logs you out if you are inactive for 5 minutes! You have to have a password that's at least 10 characters long and includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers and punctuation.

My banking passwords aren't as complicated as that!! It also doesn't save your logon details properly, so every time it signs you out every 5mins, I have to retype the long stupidly hard to remember password. If I didn't need a couple of products from this store I wouldn't shop there because it's just too freaking annoying!

    • Fast shipping experience with Jolse. Took 11 days for products to be delivered to my address. They also have excellent consumer service.
