How to recognize false pride in yourself?

False pride is a crack in the armor at heart. Each arrow goes straight into our soft, sensitive heart. False Pride causes indescribable, unbearable suffering. The greater the pride, the greater is the desire for recognition. We feel the desire that other people see only perfection in us, only those properties which sometimes we even do not have at all. And we suffer extremely severe distress when nobody, even not ourselves, does not see us as perfect as we would like to be. The more person rises false pride, the more he does not like the others pride.

Pride has two extremes – when a man exalts himself while humiliate others, and when a person humiliates himself while exalt others. This is the same false pride, the same thirst for attention, only a means to get is different. Unmanaged false pride makes a person feel more and more hurt by surrounding – how they could not notice me, such wonderful and perfect one? How cannot want anyone to go for a walk with me, so great one? How can someone answer or even to think not well enough about me?.. Well, maybe a bit exaggerated describing an internal conversation, but if you recognize any shade, you know what I mean.

The worse thing is that widespread false pride not allows ourselves to notice it and control. Indeed, sometimes the pride completely enlace the person from the inside and from the outside, and little hope remains to him to try a little bit of happiness.

Foster the humility and give thanks for the obnoxious boss, deceitful friends, and despotic mother-in-law. If someone offended you, at least mentally forgive him and smile. The pill from pride is indescribably bitter. But only at the beginning! And then begins the honey. People become serene and smiling like a sky after heavy rains with thunderstorms. Life becomes easier and more enjoyable, because no one can hurt your delicate, fragile heart.
