How to bake Pizza Swirls from Scratch

Was craving for a pizza today.

It is either to dine in at Pizzahut or to bake pizza on my own from scratch.

Honestly, I wanted to try baking pizza for years but afraid to do so because I had heard from my Facebook friend that the pizza base was difficult to soften, might as well buy the base from the supermarket.

I figured out that she might had used the plain flour instead of the protein flour as you know that most breads and pizza base used protein flour which is also known as the bread flour.

Protein flour is wheat flour with high content of protein which absorbs liquid quickly, risen faster than other type of flours.

Hence, I decided to bake Pizza Swirls today from scratch and I was glad to inform you that, yes, it was the protein flour that made my pizza a succcess.

As for the ingredients for the top fillings, it depends on what you want to spread on top.

You can add in green bell pepper, olives, tuna flakes, seafood, mushrooms, pineapple cubes, minced chicken or beef, the list is endless!

Pizza Swirls Recipe

  • 225g  protein flour ( bread flour)

    • I think this does look like a good recipe. I'd definitely consider trying it. Though I usually cook outside but this one seems to be a good option.

    • I love baking and I love pizza too.
But I don't have time to do it.
I just hope I can try baking this one someday.
