HOW CAN YOU SWITCH YOUR LOW-FREQUENCY MODE

SWITCHING FREQUENCY

Have you ever been in a situation when you are in the worst moods and then suddenly something happens and you feel better? It could be as special as receiving flowers when you are down or as simple as receiving a text message that will uplift your spirit.

But how about when you are in a “low-frequency mode” and nothing unexpected happens? Then, there are quite a few things I suggest you could do, one of them might work for you.

  1. Buy flowers for yourself or anything that makes you happy.
  2. Better yet, buy flowers for someone you love. You’ll be surprised how happy to see your loved ones happy.
  3. Eat ice cream! If not, chocolates. But not too much dear.
  4. Read forwarded e-mails that you haven’t had time to read.
  5. Get away from where you are experiencing your bad mood, go to a new place with renewed eyes, and renewed mind.
  6. Call a friend and invite her to come over as possible.
  7. If no one is available, make yourself busy on planning or setting a date with a friend for some time soon.
  8. Write an article or a poem.
  9. Listen to your favorite music.
  10. Read old letters and look some old pictures that bring nostalgia.
  11. If you’re really feeling too depressed to do any of the above, just surf the net or read the newspaper and magazines available. You’ll almost surely find someone in a worse state than yourself. Don’t gloat, though. Just be thankful.
  12. Go to your comfort zone and sing as loud as you can.
  13. Shop! This is debatable. Maybe you can go shopping. But leave all your credit cards at home and don’t bring more than a thousand pesos.
  14. Get in touch with people way back: high school classmates maybe or one of your college acquaintances.
  15. Make a list good things about your life.
  16. List at least 10 people who make you happy. (Easy, right?)
  17. Say a little prayer for your family and friends.
  18. Say a little prayer for yourself. (I think this should be the number one.)
  19. Read your Bible.

The reason why I wrote such list of things we could do is because I was in a “low-frequency mode” 30 minutes ago. It is really quite difficult to understand moods. Often for me, there is a reason for the bad mood. But while it sometimes affects me, at other times, the same reason barely bothers me at all.

I did a number of the things I put on my list and they worked! I sincerely believe that life is what make of it. If we wake up in the morning knowing it will be a nice day, then it will be. If we wake up worrying about the rest of the day, then we can expect some of these problems will really happen.
