After strictly following what religion teaches, a day comes in one’s life when many look for the meaning of God on their own, regardless of what they have understood God, as taught to them.
These are those who do not question but believe and follow all rituals.
It is said religion is the opium of the masses. If they do not do those rituals they feel they have sinned.
The demands of religious rituals are several and difficult to meet but no stone remains unturned to go through these rituals sometimes involving huge sums of money. Loans are taken to fulfil these demands. People live in guilt if for some reason they cannot keep to these rituals and shudder at the thought of going to hell.
Some do not understand the meaning of God and they are termed as Atheists. And this after years of following the dictat of their faith. Going by what is going on around them they are disillusioned and simply give up.
There are others who start questioning the teaching and choose their own path at the same time ensuring that they choose a path of righteousness. They question the need for rituals which they feel is nothing but a waste of time. They feel some religious institutions use this as a mode to amass wealth by promising blessings.
The meaning of God is understood differently by different people depending on their life’s experiences. Some believe that life is full of challenges and God throws those challenges at them but promises help all the way if they believe in Him. And when challenges are met with success then that is a different kind of joy.
Everything on a platter takes away this joy.
I understand God that way – being with me through and through while I am on my journey to meet those challenges. I need to keep God in my life and therefore, live a life of righteousness -. as simple as that. Live life meeting challenges, taking the help of God and God helps those who live a life of righteousness.
I have understood God as omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.
Omniscient would mean that God is all knowing, God is all powerful and therefore omnipotent and God is everywhere and therefore omnipresent.
But God is not willing to get into the hearts of those who do not have a clean heart. To bring God in one’s life therefore it is necessary that we live a life that guarantees a clean place for God to dwell in our hearts.
When God dwells in one’s heart the need to visit churches, temples and mosques does not arise.
Although a lot has been written about heaven and hell this is not established by any standards of proof. No one has seen neither hell nor heaven. I believe heaven and hell is right here on earth. The ability to face life no matter what the tribulations, joyfully, keeping God in one’s life, for me that is heaven and vice versa.

nice and beautiful.......
Do you really think that there is no literal heaven and hell?
Have you really researched this topic very well before making your Conclusions.
Very good question. You may even ask why I believe in God since I have not seen Him. I believe because I have proof of my interaction with Him. And while heaven and earth is concerned we only talk about it and that's it.
Anyway this is my understanding. I would be happy if you have any proof about the existence of heaven and hell. Do share. Thank you.
