We have different types of garbage – kitchen waste, broken pieces of glass, crockery and such solid garbage, fresh greens from the garden, dead leaves and twigs.
We have compost pits where we store our kitchen waste and cover it with soil once every week. We also add fresh leaves and twigs to this. In a year’s time this turns into compost which we use for our garden.
There is no household that does not collect solid waste such as plastic bags, broken glass bottles, broken bulbs…. We have used all this as foundation material for our garden seats and the waterfall reservoir. A concrete base is prepared and this stuff placed over it. Around it a brick or concrete wall is built to contain the garbage. Liquid mortar is then mixed with the solid waste thoroughly which will fortify the foundation. The foundation is then covered with a thick layer of concrete. The garden seat is then constructed, after the foundation is cured for a few days.
Similar is the process for preparing the foundation for the waterfall reservoir.
We put this in the incinerator and the ash produced is a great fertilizer. An incinerator is easy to build. It is done with bricks and mud paste the height being tall enough for the smoke to escape beyond the height of a human being as this will take care of not inhaling the smoke that comes out.
A space is provided below to remove the ash when it is ready.
Those living in flats could follow these rules specially with the wet garbage. This could be done in huge drums.
The solid waste could be handed over to the authorities that collect garbage which in turn could be used as fillers for low lying areas if they are required to be filled. Even wells that do not produce water could be likewise buried with solid waste.

Waste is dealt with in a similar fashion here, except that dried leaves, twigs and grass cuttings are usually composted. They are either composted at home with the kitchen scraps, or they are collected by the municipality. There are usually certain times of the year when yard waste such as leaves, tree branches, and discarded Christmas trees are collected en masse.
Besides sending solid waste to landfills, we also have recycling and recuperation programs set up for glass, plastics, metals, paper and cardboard products, and broken appliances. There are programs that offer a refund for returning drink containers (wine bottles, juice jugs, soda and beer cans, etc.) These programs refund part of the environmental fees and deposits we are charged when we buy those products.
This is our personal approach to garbage management. Here the government is making efforts to manage garbage but it is yet not successful. They have started collecting garbage from individuals but I do not know what they do with it - nothing is known. If they had any effective method I suppose that would have been published.
Recycling plastics into buckets and other items is seen a bit though.
@bestwriter It's a bit strange for someone who lives in Canada to imagine that in some places there is not already a municipal garbage and recycling collection program.
We've had curbside garbage pickup provided as long as I can remember. But I do recall how hard we had to fight to get recycling programs going. It's still not a universally available service. In the town where we live now, we must haul our own recycling to a municipal depot. Those who cannot do so can request pickup, but it's a paid service provided by a local employer of disabled adults.
@Ruby3881 It is not easy to haul one's garbage to the recycling unit. Hope everyone out there will get the door to door service. We have it here and I played a role in getting that service here. I separate my own garbage and when I do not have the need to use the solid waste here I collect it and once in three or 4 months hand over the gunny bag to the collectors.
In my country, it is strictly implementing Solid Waste Management. The waste should be segregated before it will be put into the trash. It became so effective and a nationwide rule that cannot be bent by any people. The awareness of the people had been inculcated and hopefully, it will be continued to practise the good way of dealing with the garbage.
@shavkat Slowly I am sure the whole world will accept this method which is vital for living in a pollution free environment. We still find garbage strewn around and this has come to the notice of the authorities.
