I am a chocolate foodie. No wonder then that chocolates would top my shopping list whichever country I visited.
It is only after visiting various countries and tasting their chocolates I have come to realise that there are different brands not just Cadbury and Toblerone. I always thought toblerone or any chocolates made in Switzerland topped the list when it came to quality. That thinking has now changed.
There are many varieties of chocolates made in Switzerland and the Toblerone is often talked about but my choice is the Lindt Collection Dessert. I have uploaded that image here. After looking at those chocolates which were gifted to me I just did not feel like touching them as they looked so pretty and what more about their taste!!!
Cadbury chocolates are made in India but when I visited New Zealand I bought a slab there and realised how rich it tasted. I had to be as the cows there yield good qality milk.
All the brands of chocolates are manufactured all over the world but the taste differs from country to country even though the list of ingredients could be the same.
Every country I visited had their own local brands – some just having no name. I found them in Australia. They tasted great too. I visitied a mall there and saw them placed in a creal – unwrapped. I bought a kilo. What’s in a name is often. Also what is one has no time if they taste good. These tasted great.
Everyone who is a chocolate foodie would know how great the Belgian chocolates are – a class by themselves.
There is a craze now for the dark chocolate but i have yet to acquire a taste for it.
The most expensive chocolate in the world is known as To’ak and is on sale. It costs around British Pounds 169. For more on this you can visit the link

I am also a fan of Lindt chocolate. And I have acquired to taste for dark chocolate - the darker the better! It is more pure, so you're really tasting the chocolate itself and not all the oils, the milk, the sugar, etc.
If I were only concerned about my health then I would certainly opt for the dark chocolate but I eat chocolates because I love them (lol)
I bought chocolate when I visited New Zealand too.
I bought about a kilogram too. When I was buying the chocolate, I thought that it was a lot. When I reached home, I realized that I bought too little.
After everyone had a sample, there was hardly anything left.
Only Swiss chocolates are known worldwide but it is only when one looks around there are such great ones, available all over the world.
The Daily Mail has really good articles. Especially about food! :)
