Generally I avoid political posts but at the way China is opposing India I have started to believe that if United Nation’s Security Council failed to ban known terrorists despite the fact that at least 15 countries were ready to ban them but could not do anything just because vested interests of China stopped it from doing so. By the way China is doing its best to prevent terrorism in one of its own states.
Probably the time has come when the rules need to be changed or United Nations Security Council will lose all its creditability. It’s not for the first time that few countries in their self-interest have taken such steps. At least China has always done the same whenever an action is proposed against a terrorist act or group which in fact is indicative of dangerous sign for world peace.
It was funny hearing Chinese representative’s statement in UN Council that India did not produce right proofs so it would not be appropriate to ban the terrorist but the Chinese side did not mention what proofs were they referring to what was missing in the proofs provided by Indian side. Despite the willingness of rest of the countries ready to ban this dreaded terrorist and his organization Security Council could not take a proper step.
China should have found better excuses that what it said in Security Council as it is an undisputed fact that an Indian plane was hijacked to Kandahar in December 1999 with 176 passengers and 15 crew members on board were kept hostage for 8 days until Indian government released and handed over a terrorist to his organization in exchange of hostages from his terror group.
Perhaps the time has come India should give a proper reply to China for his misdeed. In my views the best strategy in this case would be to snap all economical ties and put a blanket ban on all imports from China. That will make a big effect on its economy which is already in a bad condition. Let China understand what is in store for openly taking sides with terrorists for selfish reasons.
