You might have heard of Potatoe chips, Plantain chips, Mango chips etc., But have you heard of Bitter gourd chips? Yes. they are called Bitter Gourd chips made of Bitter Gourd which will be tasty and crispy. The ingredients will be quite as common as those found in Potatoe chips. The only difference is in spite of severe fry these chips do not lose their bitterness and they taste slightly bitter.
Bitter guard generally grows in Carribean Islands, Asia, East Africa and parts of Amazon basin. This is a regular item in their diet and there is no house which does not have they creeper.

It is interesting to note that bitter things have many healing properties than non bitter things. In Nigeria they have a tree whose leaf they use for soap and stew. they call in bitter leave which they enjoy eating with passion.
It medicinal properties is enumose but i don't know i can enjoy that as my soup. But it is good for health.
Bitter foods are anti-oxidants.They are best cure for hyper persons.Only few likes its taste. This depends on how it is prepared. I like this veggie, just small amount to take every meal.
I like bitter gourd.My mom has the secret to makes it less bitter. Most children hated this fruit. I humbly say that my mom knows how to make it yummy. That's the reason why some of my childhood friends like to eat in the house. It's my treat for them. When I had grown up, I finally know her secret. Before cooking the fruit, she needs to put it in a bowl with water for an hour. It will lessen the bitter taste prior to cooking per se.
