Best Exercises for Awesome Abs

Abs are one of the most favorite muscles and they are like a symbol for a great physique and fitness. For abs, most important thing is to eat right and train them often. Your meal plan have to be great, because the more sugars and bad fats you eat your abs won’t show. Keep that in mind.

When we come across shirtless bodies, the very first place our eyes are instantly drawn to is the abdomen. After-all, the abdominal muscles are the center piece of the entire body and are a major indication of top level fitness and conditioning.

Dragon flag

Lie back and hold the bench behind your head. Bend your knees and kick your legs up towards the ceiling, bringing your backside and back off the bench. Slowly move your body back down to starting position, then repeat.

Side jackknife

Lie on your side with your right leg on top of your left. Put your right hand behind your head, elbow flared out, and the other on the floor in front of you for balance. Contract your obliques to bring your right leg and elbow together, then slowly lower. Perform all your reps on one side before swapping.

Hanging leg raise

Grab a pull-up bar and lower yourself into a dead hang. Let your legs straighten and pull your pelvis back slightly. Tense your core and raise your legs until your thighs are perpendicular to your torso. Hold then lower slowly back to the starting position.

Abdominal Hold

This is the sort of move that looks so wonky, you sure hope your roommate doesn’t catch you doing it — unless she also gets to see you look stellar in a bathing suit, in which case she just may pull up a chair.

Do it:

  • Sit tall on the edge of a sturdy chair (or step with four risers) and place your hands on the edge with your fingers pointing toward your knees.
  • Tighten your abs and bring your toes 2 to 4 inches off the floor. Lift your butt off the chair.
  • Hold this position for as long as you can — aim for 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Lower yourself down and repeat.

Do exercises like crunches, planks, sit ups and push ups for building a set of nice six packs.

But, don’t forget, keep your eating clean and without junk foods and sugars.

Getting six packs is not an easy job, so keep training hard and eating clean.
