Hey guys, it’s about my visit to China with my Managing Director on work cum entertainment trips thrice and my experience of how my boss decided to eat at a local restaurant despite my reluctance. You can read that part of the story here-
We three entered into that crowded restaurant and took a corner table near the large glass window that presented wonderful outside view. We knew that all menus in China are mostly in Chinese language so we did not try them rather we asked the man who was supposed to serve us but none of the names he gave us did not look familiar to us. So I opened the menu but could not see anything vegetarian on it.
We three looked at each other and decided to leave the place and walked to our hotel Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classic where we had stayed twice before too. The hotel which is almost 55 km from the airport but close the place we were to visit for next three days besides located in the center of tourists’ attractions places.
The hotel was not a great place for tourists but okay for a business trip or to stay in a costly city like Shanghai and the room are of reasonable size. However, my first problem was to eat something and take a rest as I was feeling too hungry and tired.
Fortunately they had vegetarian sandwiches and coffee that served my purpose besides the bananas I had bought from the wayside fruit vendor on our way to hotel. My boss and the engineer with us, they both had their dinner without any problem as they both ate non-vegetarian dishes (with you know what I mean).
First of our destination was a communication equipment manufacturing house’s city office located at Xinhua Road area where were supposed to reach at 9.30 in the morning. We spent almost 4 hours there that served our purpose of visit. The deal was almost finalized so we decided to take a trip of the surrounding areas of the city. That was a wonderful experience that I will describe in a future post.
