Online Job Vs Offline Job

Most of the people I know, once they found out I am working online, they find it amazing. I mostly explain to them that it is good to work online but everything has its disadvantage. Let me put in writing the difference of these two based on my experiences.

What is an Online job?

Online job is a kind of job that you do online. You need a desktop/laptop and internet connection. Mostly you need to research for the site you need to work in so you need to join different groups at Facebook or any forums on the internet to learn more about the sites.

Advantage of Online Job

You do not have a boss. You are your own boss.

You own your time. You can schedule your working hours and have your own goal.

You do not have to get out of the house as you are work at home.

You do not have to spend transportation allowance.

You do not have to spend money buying clothes as you are only staying at home. Same as your snack foods and other things like makeups to make yourself presentable. You can choose to wear what is comfortable to you as you are only working at home.

You can earn more and more once you found the right site.

You could meet different people and have lots of friends.

Disadvantage of Online Job

You need to have the internet, no internet connection means no work.

You need to have  your own laptop/desktop.

You need to find a job that pays your bill, internet bills, electricity bill. If your online job at present cannot sustain it, then you have a big problem.

You need a lot of studying and reading/watching tutorials. In order to learn how to work on certain sites, you need to find a different strategy. You need to follow instructions and a certain person that will guide you, what if you haven’t found one? I do not want to treat this as a disadvantage but sometimes there will be some frustrations when everyone are busy with their own strategy and not willing to help you.

You need to have a payment processor like Paypal. This means you need to have it verified. You need a bank to transfer your money and you need a credit card/debit card to verify your account. It is a tedious work and kind of panicky because one might find it very technical. Some people get nervous with that kind of stuff.

Once the site is closed, then the earning stops.

Some or most of the online sites do not last long. They either stay for a year and to make it worst, less than 6 months.

In order to secure earnings, once you earn, you need to earn a lot so you could start saving money. It is stressful when you can’t even save.

Most of the earning sites are slow and with low earnings. You really need to find something that will give you good earnings.

Sometimes, you get bored. Once frustration starts, you will feel sad and might regret your decision.

You need to have your own space. If you do not have, then it will be very uncomfortable.

On the other side, let us define Offline Job.

Offline job is work where you need to report to the office and have your own boss.

Advantage of Offline Job

You will have a monthly salary.

You need to follow leveling from probationary to regularization to open opportunity to earn more.

You get to meet different people at work.

You get to get out of your house. If your shift is in the morning, then you will get out of the house early in the morning, this means a good source of Vitamin D from the sun. If your shift is in the afternoon, then you can avoid heavy traffic as you are inside your office during rush hours.

You could receive different benefits, including the mandatory ones because the company will pay a portion of your contribution.

You could have a yearly bonus.

You could be part of the different activity at work, which helps you to analyze your weakness and strength.

It will strengthen your decision-making as you get to experience working on different aspect at work and with different people as well.

It could give you professional growth. It depends on your performance and what you want to achieve.

Some companies give lots of benefits.

You could have a potential travel in and out of the country. Most companies provide this.

Most companies really are concerned with the stability and growth of their employees. It is perfect if you found one.

You have the potential to save money.

Disadvantage of Offline Job

You get to get out of your house and meet different stresses on the road e.g. congested place, flocking of people on the road and heavy traffic.

You need to have transportation allowance, you pay for your transportation. If you have a car, then you pay for your gas, unless the company provides it.

You get to meet different people at work. There are people that will become your problem and some people that will part of the solution. You just need to adjust yourself with the different attitudes.

Sometimes job responsibilities could burn you out because there are some instances that your boss will take advantage of you. There are different situations that could describe this. You are lucky if you find a job that you could work easily.

You get to follow a boss. You need to do what he or she say even if you are not approving it.

Some jobs need you to look presentable. In this way, you need to have a clothing allowance. Good thing if your company will provide it for you, what if not?

Different kinds of jobs are challenging. It is not for the faint heart and sensitive. You need to find your balance. You need to adjust yourself to a fast phase environment. Some people find it difficult to adjusts.

If you ask me what will I choose is still to have an offline job for the reason of saving money. You could be having stability if you are in a stable company and if you are having a good performance at work. Despite some struggles, I know I will able to do my best to survive. Online job, on the other hand, is always been helping me with some of my bills. I still continue working on my online sites while I have it. Save the best for last and work, work, work!
