For all cat owners, I am sure we all know that our
darling pet cat’s urine is as stinky as a skunk!
The feline urination is so over powering that you can
smell the awful stench from inside the house even
though it may had peed outside on the car porch or
the door entrance.
In this post, I will be revealing to you how to remove
cat pee odor especially on the tiles floor which some
stray cats had peed on the car porch and the wall
leading to the door entrance.
Male cats usually pee at:
l The door entrance
l Flower pots
l Vehicle’s tires
l Large boxes
l Plastic covers
( to cover the vehicle or washing machine)
l Car porch
This is the feline action to “mark” its’ territory , to
show other stray cats that they had been there.
In other words, cat’s urine is a signal to other cats
to stay out of the locations before it attack them
which you may often see cats fights, fighting for
their survival.
Indeed, this is a very typical way for cats to smell
each other’s pee to know who had been here which
is alike to human’s “booking” a seat in advance.
l Not only the stray cat’s pee is bad, so is my old
cat OUT, her pee is as bad as any one of them.
l Any living thing that eats , drinks, pees and poops
are the same, they all smell so bad that you can
puke for days!
l Not to mention about losing your appetite when
you encounter the cat’s pee inside or outside your
house.
l Cat’s pee is alike humans and other animals’ pee,
it consist of salt, uric acid, electrolytes and very
acidic.
l If the cat’s pee is left unattended ( which means
you didn’t clean it immediately), the bacteria in the
urine will break down into “Ammonia”.
l Ammonia is a chemical that causes stench odor
after left in open air for hours.
l As the cat’s pee dries up , it absorb into the
carpet, floor tiles, flower pot, wall or wooden door
that could leave an awful stench.
l If you wanted to make sure that it is a cat’s pee,
use a black light to focus on the object.
l CCTV camera is one of the black light that can
allow you to see cat’s pee that glows.
l Never use you finger to touch on the cat’s pee,
you will regret it!
l Another reason for a cat’s pee awful and bad
smell is the age of the cat.
l Older cats urine smell gives bad odor because their
kidney are getting weaker, producing thicker urine
with greater stench.
1. Use your nose, smell it , you can’t stand it
( worse than your own urine!)
2. The color of the pee is dark yellowish
If the cat’s pee is on the car porch, the wall or the
tire of your vehicle, use a hose to spray water to
clean off the pee, spray a few times
Next , scatter 1 cup of soap powder over the
surround pee area
Use a pair of glove to protect you hands.
Use a broom or brush to scrub the location.
Spray water to wash off the soap.
Some people said this work for them.
Scatter 1 cup of baking powder on the cat’s pee
location, leave it to dry.
It will absorb the odor and dries up the stain.
I didn’t try this method as I am out of baking soda!
Use white vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar, never
use black vinegar unless you don’t mind black blotch
patches.
Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 tsp of soap
powder, dilute into 1 litre of water.
Mix well, splash over the cat’s pee, brush with a broom
several times before wash off with hose spray of water.
Leave to dry.
Conclusion:
Number #3 works!!

We don't have cats anymore, but I remember how frustrating it can be to have to clean up their pee!
A couple of tips for preventing these messes in the first place:
1) Be sure to neuter all male kittens before they start spraying. Ask your vet, but they usually recommend by 6 months of age;
2) Keep the litter box very clean. Your cats will go elsewhere if it smells or if they get their feel wet when they step into it;
3) Discourage strays by spaying your female cats and by keeping all your cats indoors. You can also get certain plants or sprays that cats find offensive. If you use these around your yard, it will cut down on visits from neighbourhood cats and feral strays.
I guess I am lucky to have my mousy Rose cat. She never tried to pee on the areas you had mentioned. As soon as she arrived in the house and given by a close of mine. She was able to trained herself to pee in the toilet. The stinky odor can still be removed since the toilet is being cleaned everyday.
Nice tips peach, but i no longer have pet cat. my pet after giving birth to three kittens were thrown by my sister in the cliff. They were killed. I was so upset and up to this time I missed my pet cat. My sister does not like cat though I am the one feeding them. This might be important to others with cat.
