Whipping up a healthy breakfast in the morning does not take much time at all.
If you want a power pack breakfast, try to wake up 30minutes earlier than the usual time so that you could prepare a sumptuous breakfast which may take up some preparation time.
If you prepare to cut down the hassle of cooking, baking, opt for the quick and easy electrical kitchen appliances that are available in your kitchen.
Here are 12 Quick and Easy Breakfast ideas to prepare in less than 15min
- Peanut Butter Toast: Wheatbread or white bread spread with salted butter, toast in the oven until crispy. Spread generously creamy peanut butter, sandwich together
- Egg Sandwich: Scrambled eggs with chopped tomatoes, sandwiched with 2 slices of wheatebreads
- Sardine Buns: Ready to eat sardine from the can, mashed with chopped onions, mix with salad dressing. Sandwiched with toasted buns
- Breakfast Cereal (non sugar ) with low fat milk : Buy non-sugar breakfast cereal splashed with fresh low fat milk in a bowl. You can make your own cereal with crunchy corn flakes ( original), mixed with sunflower seeds, dried fruits ( sultanas, prunes, figs , dried apricots, dried cranberries), fresh fruits (slices of bananas, kiwi fruit, chopped apples) and toasted nuts ( cashew nuts, peanuts, hazel nuts or almonds)
- Assorted Pancakes with your favorite jams or drizzle of honey: Mix 1 small bowl of plain flour, 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 egg beaten, 1 small bowl fresh milk, mix well, no lumps. Grease frying pan with butter, scoop in 1 ladle of pancake batter, swirl around to make a big circle, pan fried until both sides turn brownish and crispy sides. Drizzle with honey or spread 2 tbsp of your favorite fruit jam on top.
- Butter Sugar Toast: This is extremely easy. Spread unsalted butter over the toast, sprinkle with sugar, toast in the oven for 10min.
- Tuna Sandwich: Mix tuna flakes from a can ( tuna in brine or sunflower oil) with salad dressings ( any flavor) and chopped onions. Toast 2 slices of white bread, spread tuna mixture onto the 1stslice of bread, garnish with iceberg lettuce and slices of tomato, sandwich with the other toasted bread.
- Half boiled eggs with tea/coffee: This is super easy!. Bring to boil a kettle of hot water. Place 2 raw eggs in a deep big bowl. Splash hot boiling water over the eggs until the brim of the bowl. Cover with a flat plate for 10min. Remove the half boiled eggs, crack them with the back of a tespoon while hot, drizzle with light soy sauce and pepper before consume . Goes well with warm coffee or tea.
- Fruity Oatmeal with Hot milk: 3 tbsp of Instant oats mix with hot milk ( either bring to boil fresh milk or mix powdered milk with hot water ). Once the oatmeal is set, garnish with chopped dried fruits ( apricots, mango, pineapple, sultanas). A powerpack breakfast meal to start your day!
- Vegetable / fruit salads: I love salads! Create your own version or vegetable or fruit salads with salad dressings . I love iceberg lettuce mix with slices of tomato and cucumber, chopped red apple and green pear plus an orange. An all-in-one salad with packed vitamins !
- 3-in-1 hot beverage with cream crackers or cookies: You can have this less than 1 minute breakfast meal when you are in a hurry. Prepare a 3-in-1 hot beverage of your choice, dunk in plain cream crackers ,Oreo cookies or butter cookies. Super delicious and fast!
- Heart Shaped Egg Bread: Use a large heart shape cookie stamp to punch out a heart shape into a slice of bread. Heat up a frying pan with a little butter, place the bread on top. Crack in an egg with the egg yolk in the middle of the heart shape hole. Allow it to cook then flip it to the other side. Once both sides turned brownish, remove from heart. Serve warm with hot beverage. Perfect for Mother’s Day Breakfast too.
It just takes 10-15 minutes to get your breakfast ready on the table.
