West Indies Beat Zimbabwe in 2nd ODI of series, 2013

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 3 Match ONE DAY International Series in West Indies in 2013. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as both are ranked at 6 and 10. The 2nd ONE DAY international match was to be played on National Cricket Stadium, St George’s, Grenada, and West Indies on 24^th Feb 2013. West Indies holds the upper hand as they are more experienced team and playing at home.

Zimbabwe batted very well and was able to post total of 273 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores of Craig E who made 80 runs in 85 balls with 6 4’s and 3 six at the strike rate of 94 runs in 100 balls and Hamilton M who made 60 runs in 84 balls with 2 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 71 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies was needed to score 274 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

West Indies batted well and was able to chase the target of 274 runs in 49 over’s at the loss of 3 wickets and won the game by 7 wickets in hand with top contributions from R Sarwan who made 120 runs in 143 balls with 9 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 84 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies won the match by 7 wickets in hand and leads the series 2-0.
