Cricket is a game which is played in many nations around the world but still its far behind the popularity of Football or even hockey. The Thing with cricket is,  it is of long duration as Football games duration is only 90 Minutes and of hockey is 70 Minutes but in cricket we can have three forms of matches, First is test matches, it is of scheduled duration of 5 Days and its the least popular among spectators but true lovers of cricket like me loves to witness test cricket as well. Next is One day international cricket and as its name also suggesting it normally takes about a full day and it requires about 8 Hours to complete a full scheduled One day international match and the next and last is the most smallest forms of cricket and this has now became the most popular as well, its the t 20 matches and in which both teams are scheduled to play max 20 overs and even that also takes more then. 4 Hours to complete a t 20 Match and I suppose this is the main drawback of cricket and reason of its less popularity. If ICC that is International Cricket Council is interested in popularising cricket in most of the world’s countries they should I think try to reduce the span of the game, as t 20 is slowly gaining popularity in western countries like American, Canada and even Brazil as well, but if we they formulate a 10 Over match with changed rules then I think it will be most popular and worth as it will only demand less time for viewer’s as well and will surely add a charm to cricket as well. Cricket was started by England but it was most popular and most recognized by Indians and India will also help in popularizing it as, few months back India played Some t 20 games in USA as well and these type of things and these type of events helps in making game more popular around the world.
